Legalistically speaking, atheists are right on top of everything, especially when it comes to accusing Christians.
Theologically, they are retards. They read whatever they want in scriptures...

Legalistically speaking, fundamental christians are right on top of everything, especially when it comes to accusing everyone else.
Theologically, they are retards. They read whatever they want in scriptures...

*fixed*
Yup, we read whatever we want. Why wouldn't we?
I have friends and relatives that are Christians, Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Hindus, Orthodox Christians, Jews, Romanies, Buddhists, and atheists. Why would I want to accuse some of my friends?
Theologically, they are retards. They read whatever they want in scriptures...
Death by Irony Overdose anyone?
Theologically, they are retards. They read whatever they want in scriptures...
They read what they want in Harry Potter and other works of fiction, too. What's your point?

Yeah, because atheists are split up into 36,000 sects and there exists much disagreement on hwo to read the Bible......
*eye roll*
Yeah, but we've actually read the scriptures.
(Well, some of us. But put a random group of atheists against a random group of christians, and guess which group wins a bible trivia contest.)
Um, Sparky, most atheists know a hell of a lot more about the Bible than you do, have read a hell of a lot more of it, and can discuss it a hell of a lot more intelligently.
"They read whatever they want in scriptures... "
Everybody does. I thought that was the beauty of scripture, it means whatever the user wants. But surely the perfect word of an omnipotent, omniscient god wouldn't be ambiguous like that?
If your Bible were the perfect word of god, then it would not be possible to read anything into it. I would the most concise and clear writing ever made. However, since it is the work of man-made fiction, it leaves a lot to be desired in it's clarity and it is possible to read many things into it.
With that said, most atheists will read your Bible for what it says and find the arrogant, sadistic god mentioned within it's pages to be repulsive. Not to mention all of the errors and contradictions found within.
I'm a retard in the fundie retard meaning of the word retard. For example I suffer from deity-blindness and am unable to see gods, specially the invisible kind. So I'm visually retarded in a theological or supernatural sense. I'm also a retard when it comes to bigotry, I am unable to hate people who are different from me in any way, even fundie retards. So I'm scripturally retarded for life. I'm also a fantasy retard as I'm unable to forsake reality for an imagined fairy domain in the sky nor for a retarded version of past times. However, I don't read scriptures if I can help it, because scriptures are boring, and as so many fundie retards demonstrate, they are ethically unsound.
What, you're going to call us retards because we read the bible and take it literally as written instead of making up a bunch of reasons why different passages really mean something else?
"They read whatever they want in scriptures..."
Irony meter explosion in 3, 2, 1...
"Theologically, they are retards. They read whatever they want in scriptures..."
We merely point out that it is POSSIBLE to read scrpture any way you want. For the absolute truth and word of god, there is a hell of a lot of room for interpretation in fact. You'd have thought that an omniscient, omnipotent god would have wrote a text with only one possible interpretation but noooooooo...
"They read whatever they want in scriptures..."
Indeed. See, we've read the Bible. Both Old and New Testaments. All of it.
A little education can be a dangerous thing. For you fundies, at least. Because we now have the most lethal weapon to use against you: your own Scripture. With all it's contradictions, inaccuracies, inconsistencies & errors.
And it's inherent evil:

"atheists are right on top of everything"
How right you are.
Brace yourself Starbuck: everyone reads whatever they want in scriptures. Ever wonder why there are so many different denominations of Christianity? The fact is that on many points the bible is vague and even contradictory. Factor in the poor and outdated translations that many people use and a consensus on the meaning of the bible becomes essentially impossible.
So lets just get rid of it and get on with our lives, 'kay?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
