Justifiable Vehicular Assault?
She might have gotten a little carried away. But if the jury takes into account that she regarded her husband as partially responsible for Obama’s reelection — the most prominent milestone in America’s decline and quite possibly the most disgusting event in human history — they are sure to go easy on her:
"Holly Solomon, 27, opposed President Barack Obama’s re-election and was upset that her husband didn’t vote, authorities said."
So—
"Solomon chased her husband through a Gilbert [Arizona] parking lot with an SUV, circled him as he took refuge behind a light pole and eventually struck him as he tried to flee, police said. —
Solomon told police that she was trying to scare her husband by stopping the vehicle close to him but she accidentally stepped on the accelerator and struck him."
I believe her that it was an accident. If her husband had actually voted for Obama, on the other hand—

"...quite possibly the most disgusting event in human history"
If the reelection of a president in a democratic process is the most disgusting event in human history to you, then you are a disgusting person. I can think of several things that were far more disgusting, such as the Holocaust, for example.
Isn't driving an SUV like that nearly the same as a quarter of SUV owners? Just saying.
And she did this because things would be worse for her family if Obama was elected,,,yeah, that's it,,,look how bad things are for her family at the moment. That damned Obama!
"Justifiable Vehicular Assault?"
No such legal term exists. Indeed, "justifiable assault" is an oxymoron, like jumbo shrimp, fire water and FOX News
Using that "logic", I can 'accidently' run over people who voted for Romney. (I know he didn't win, but he won Missouri, where I live) maybe someone should hit YOU, so you can see how it feels.
Holly Solomon, another moron Republican that doesn't understand the electoral college.
Hubby's vote wouldn't have made any difference. Arizona went for Romney anyway.
How much do you want to bet that Holly & Hubby are in the 47% that don't pay any federal income tax?
"Most disgusting event in human history."
Really?
*throws Dave Blount into a time machine with Nazi Germany as a destination, with "HOMOSEXUAL" tattoed on his forehead if I'm feeling sadistic*
"most disgusting event in human history" ?
Dave Blount. As you barf these words;
-A racist genocidal maniac is slaughtering defenceless Palestinians in Gaza...
-A paranoid, delusional, facist is selling Canada to the chinese...
-A cabal of bankers and corporate tycoons is conspiring to enslave all mankind...
-The Nazi Party of Greece is poised to win the next election, on a platform of pogroms against jews and muslims alike...
-The pope is actively defending pedophile priests' right to sodomize small boys...
-George Bush is STILL not a prisoner in Spandau...
-Shell oil hires mercenarys to massacre peasants in Africa, because its cheaper than buying the land out from under them...
You might need to get a sense of proportion.
@sheridan: couple of groups, yeah. you'll find the links on the main page, and there's the forums to help keep a tab if you're feeling helpful. i do it irl in my part of the world, because i can see this creeping, and i'm warning people to never go this far. i like peace, peace is good.
also, wtf! politics is an extremist religion now? i'll go for unhinged.
"Solomon told police that she was trying to scare her husband by stopping the vehicle close to him but she accidentally stepped on the accelerator and struck him."

"
and this is the same caliber of accidents as getting shot in the back of the head with a sniper rifle from 500 yards away and saying "he slipped"
know what sheridan? if you're stateside, call the aclu, slpc, cops, and/or anyone who listens. i'm sure this counts as hate speech
But if the jury takes into account that she regarded her husband as partially responsible for Obama’s reelection they are sure to go easy on her
Ok, I'll pick up on that logic; I'm going to go blow Holly's kneecaps off with a shotgun. If the jury takes into account that she drives an SUV and is partly responsible for destroying our planet, they are sure to go easy on me.
Yay violence, yay vigilantes.
Sure, Dave, next time my boyfriend forgets to buy juice, I'll chase him around the building garage with my car. That'll learn the bastard.
You have a skewed sense of what counts as "disgusting".
Running your husband over with an SUV because he didn't vote, now that's disgusting. Not the most disgusting thing that ever happened, but still pretty damn disgusting.
@Arctic Knight:
Well, it IS Moonbattery. Half the people there claim the Holocaust never happened, and the other half think it was a good thing.
That's the sort of monsters you're dealing with, here.
{i}Justifiable Vehicular Assault?
She might have gotten a little carried away. But if the jury takes into account that she regarded her husband as partially responsible for Obama’s reelection...
That's where I stopped reading. Life is simply too short to take in any more of this deranged horseshit.
Hey, dipshit! Free elections exist so other people can vote for the candidates they want without fear of intimidation. Just because you don't get your own way, sucky baby, doesn't mean you have the right to maim someone who disagrees with you.
So, basically what you're saying is that it's perfectly OK to injure or kill anyone who doesn't vote the way you want them to. And this fits in with democracy how exactly?
As has probably already been pointed out, this happened in Arizona which Romney won the electoral votes of, so one more vote wouldn't have made any difference. Not like one more vote for Romney would have made any difference anyway, seeing as how Obama won the popular vote by some 3 million votes.
And she thinks that Obama is going to ruin her family's finances, but not huge medical and legal bills?
I don't care if she DID step on the brake like she meant to and didn't kill her husband. That's still some psychotic behavior. And you'd see that if this was an Obama voter doing that. But it's one of yours so you turn a blind eye and even justify her insanity. And by the way, it doesn't matter if the husband votes for Satan or C'thulhu. This is a Constitutional Republic and we have the right to vote however the hell we want or even not vote. Threatening someone for their vote or for not voting is not only insane it's an attack on the very principles this country is founded on. But your lot doesn't fucking care. You spout on and on about "the principles that founded this country" but in the end you justify taking away the most important one and its painfully obvious that you don't care about the principles of this country. You only care about getting your way.
"Obama’s reelection the most prominent milestone in America’s decline and quite possibly the most disgusting event in human history "
LMFAO.
Oh man, I laughed so hard at this that I started wheezing and had to use my inhaler. I knew this quote was going to be a doozy after "Justifiable Vehicular Assault ," but I honestly didn't expect that it would be some butthurt right-wing mouth-frother extraordinaire whining over Obama's re-election and trying to justify running over people because they might be slightly left of batshit insane.
In any case, assault is not justifiable, period, vehicular or otherwise. Intentionally harming another individual is only acceptable when it is necessary for self-defense, and when you have to hurt someone out of self-defense, it's not assault anymore. Either way, this crazy nonsense definitely doesn't qualify as "self-defense."
...meanwhile, several years ago in North Carolina, a man in his pickup went to a police station's parking lot, and proceeded to use his vehicle to destroy two police cars. When officers had managed to wrest the driver out and restrain him on the ground to arrest him, when they demanded why he'd done this, his reply?:

-Agent Keenan (John Goodman), "Red State"
As I've said before, but bears repeating: You can't spell 'Fundamentalist' without the word Mental .
Come to think of it, imagine if this scenario were changed so that an Obama supporter ran her husband down with her car for not voting. Visualize the Moonbattery headline for that one:
Man Run Over by Deranged Moonbat Wife
Or something to that effect.
@Canadiest

The part where you defend this psyco-bitch when she says it was an accident isn't the disgusting part. The part where you actually would defend her more-so if it wasn't, is.
