Not true. He travelled to Mexico and went looking for women that would marry him for citizenship. He eventually found a woman he even stated outright he was barely able to communicate with at the time who agreed to it. She wouldn't have known what kind of scumbag he really was if she tried and only cared that she had something to gain from a relationship with him. So basically the exact kind of woman he and his disciples try to convince people are the majority of women and the poison of modern society, a woman who trades their body for status and relies on a man to get her ahead in life.
Schmidt suggested others do the same but to also make sure to hide their wife's immigration papers and passport and screen all their outside contact including reading their mail and cutting them off from their families. Protip: try not to start by making a huge whooper of a lie. She was much more wealthy than he was when they met (he was in fact broke at the time !) and there is no indication she married him for citizenship.
