Afraid that once you either find someone who's lowered her standards to the point where she broke out a pick ax or you develop enough superficial charm to trick some unsuspecting woman into dating or even marrying you and once you show your true colors and start abusing her, a social worker will counsel her to leave you and press charges?

Yes. It's doable. Natural beauty is 100% improvable (or degradable depending on choices, you can easily go from a 9 to a 4 for example by heavy use of meth - DON'T DO IT).
And you can even fix up women not so naturally beautiful (or just old) with some effort, maybe raise them to a 7 at least or make them fit a niche like MILF or BBW or whatever.
If that scale of attractiveness wasn't considered the value of your very life it wouldn't be quite so insulting. Well, it would still be fairly insulting for someone going around grading your face as a greeting but that's not the point. As it stands that's what people tend to mean when they bitch about 5's hooking up with 9's or somesuch rot. You're moving outside your caste, in their eyes, and need to be punished.
They think your life is determined by your sexual desirability. You exist for no other reason than to be claimed by someone of similar rank. That is bullshit. But you probably know that and are just here because you think you can ruffle our feathers. You'll just get pecked to death instead.

Final notes- Calling me a SJW is meaningless. It does not offend me to be labeled as such. There are far worse things a person could be, like incel or incel defenders.
I do not concern myself with arbitrary things like assigning strangers a number on a scale according to their physical attractiveness. That's something that pathetic little boys do; pathetic little boys who haven't quite finished evolving.
I've said it once, I'm going to say it again,2049970; guys who are "ugly", under 5'11, heavy-set or thin do just fine with the ladies, not being walking buckets of dysentery with no redeeming qualities like "incels" tends to help.
