In the Torah the Jews made a holocaust out of the People of Caan and even the live stock were slaughtered and burnt in bloody heaps to Yahweh as the Holocaust of burnt offering. However in Hebrew this word Holocaust is Olah....

In the Jewish Mishnah, the Rabbi's call the process of creating the Jewish Messianic Global Kingdom Tikkun Olam. That A is also the vowel Ah. Its Tiklum Olahm. Meaning one thing. Offering up the entire Gentile Peoples of the world as sacrifice to Yahweh as a holocaust. The Torah states their is five types of animals to be blood sacrifices to Yahweh, Cattle or Goyim in Hebrew is one of them. The Jews call us the non-Jews, Goyim.

It goes from Olah to Olam.... Because M is the letter of Messiah in Kabala. This is what Messiah must accomplish for the Jews.

They're really trying to find a Biblical excuse to trash Jewish people (or this is a Jew being anti-Gentile).

In fact; Genetic researchers and anthropologist just recently found out that the Canaanites survived and that they are today's Lebanese.

If one is to follow an Abrahamic faith, it's best to interpret the scriptures as metaphors rather than literal. Although there may be some historical elements in some books, it's mainly a mix of Allegory, Parable, Mythology and "Historical Fiction". What matters is the message or the spirit of the message, not how it's conveyed.

The Conquest of Canaan never happened. There was no genocide. It was, rather, a metaphorical "genocide" of the previous cultural/religious ways.

MY THEORY ON WHAT REALLY HAPPENED....
* I think what happened was that some odd nomadic Canaanite/Phoenician splinter group (The mysterious 'Iberu' or 'Sons of Eber/Ibram/Abraham....which became 'Haberu/Hebrew') took a journey to Egypt (this is connected to the whole Joseph thing) and became members of Egyptian society while keeping their traditional ways. They were never slaves but among the many willing workers in Egypt.
* A few centuries later they had some sort labor dispute with the Pharaoh and the willing hired Hebrew workers (the Bible says they simply needed time off so they could practice their devotions and sacrifices but Pharaoh said 'No'). Moses and Aaron were the main spokesmen.
* The Island of Santorini in the Mediterranean Sea went "full-Krakatoa" and it caused a whole slew of weird meteorological and environmental events. This caused a chain reaction of stuff that made bugs go crazy, a bit of famine, dark skies, red algae-filled Nile, etc.
* The Pharaoh let them leave but changed his mind and followed them through the "Reed Sea" at low tide....but were stopped when high-tide came in (rather than he and his army drowning because none of that is in any Egyptian record).
* When they came back, they started a sweeping change in the culture and religion of Canaan. They didn't want to be like the Egyptians and the old Polytheistic ways left a bad taste in their mouth. So; For better or worse, they changed and became more "moralistic" and....over time....the Pantheon of many Deities were consolidated into one singular Monotheistic Deity and enforced that! There may have been military skirmishes and battles but there was no genocide.
* Many centuries later, after the exile from Babylon, the Hebrews pretty much had to start things over from scratch and had to rewrite the Tanakh from memory. However; They also made some "innovations" and embellished their history to be even more "epic" (to edify the demoralized people). A labor dispute became "slavery"; Effects of a volcano were exaggerated and made more supernatural; The Reed Sea tides inconveniencing the Egyptians became "The Parted Red Sea that drowned the Egyptians"; A big cultural change became "Genocide" and the Hebrews differentiated themselves from their Canaanite ancestors and rewrote the Tanakh accordingly.

The Israelites, whatever their scribes committed to print, did not engage in wholesale slaughter of the Canaanites. (Guess how I know.)

There are also arguments that the Israelites didn't fight the Canaanites, but rather either assimilated them or were assimilated by the locals

It's possible that not all of Israel agreed with such edicts; that among them were refuseniks who remembered that Jews had been subject to slaughter themselves (and they remembered, likewise, the admonition, 'We were strangers in Egypt).

Indeed this is one of those Texts of Terror I frequently mention - part of an ancient, bloody, and full-blown argument splattered across pages of the Hebrew and Chridtian Bibles.

I guess I'll never escape the Platonic idea of Forms - the perfect renderings of things are warped and made imperfect by passing into physicality. It's the reason why Utopia would never work. It's the reason why sacred concepts can sit on the same page as profanity in the Bible: Anything made by humans will, if even just marginally, fall short of the ideal - the Form that acts as template

I study the Abrahamic faiths, all three (as well as side braches) and am ever bemused and disheartened and even horrified that people will burn, hack, crush, shoot, or stab over religion when no one group or idividual - not anywhere, ever - has the wisdom to see the Forms behind behind all those seemingl good ideas that sometimes go wrong.
