islam has done nothing positive for the world in hundreds of years. I think they came up with some mathematical innovations in the 16th century.
And there was some stuff regarding astronomy, surgery, chemistry, geography and such as well. Nonetheless, most, if not all of those innovations had their roots in knowledge gathered from other much older cultures like the ancient Greeks and the ancient Indian civilizations. So, being very open-minded was an essential prerequisite for any budding Islamic researcher of that time. Hence, the people who actually did the really worthwhile things were usually the left-wing secularists and humanists (aren't they always :P) who were often marginalized, ostracized and persecuted by their fundie brethren, the same fundies who today shamelessly take credit for the works of those brilliant people whose lives they made miserable when they lived.

Exactly, insects they are, most of them are brown anyway. We should just squash all nearly 2 billion of them under our shoes, the goddamn cockroaches. But before we do that, we're going to need camps and gas chambers much larger than those employed by the Nazis. Later, once we are done with those disgusting Islamic bugs, we can use the systems to take care of others that we don't like, y'know like fags, Atheists, wetbacks, niggers, kikes, chinks, Jerries, japs, Honda owners, Android users, tea drinkers, college grads, everyone until only God's own wholesome white Christian people remain.

As long as it is all religions, and doesn't include killing anyone, I'm all for it. Also, I doubt that anyone who so casually condones wanton death and destruction, would actually know what the word "civilization" stands for.
