I find it terribly ironic that you claim to be anti-government and yet support such tyranny in the home. What you are doing to the females in your family, in fact, is far worse than anything the government could ever dream of, for you have brainwashed them into accepting a status of subhumanity, in which ignorance is strength and freedom is slavery. You think that your Y-chromosome grants you a position of power from which you can abuse the other half of mankind, and such a philosophy of arbitrary entitlement, as history would bear out, has been a great source of despotism in the world. Never, though, before I read these statements, did I imagine that this despotism had extended even into that "sacred" institution you hold so dear - the family. I would argue, in fact, that it is far more despicable there, since the trust children have in their parents far exceeds the trust most adults have in the government. You are tyrants who grossly abuse the authority you have been given, and exploit the minds of innocents to perpetuate your disgusting and misogynistic traditions.
I have read comments from many females (teenagers and submissive housewives alike) who were unfortunate enough to have fathers and husbands such as yourselves, and it never ceases to amaze me how thoroughly your chauvinistic attitude has stripped them of both ambition and true love. You have prepared them for domestic slavery through 18 years of mind control, and to raise a child in such a manner that she is equipped for little else - and indeed, often embraces this as a matter of pride! - is an unspeakable offense against the human drive to excel.
If you truly loved freedom, you would educate your girls in all the arts and sciences, letting her discover for herself where her strengths lie and decide for herself how she can best benefit herself and others, whether that be as a lawyer, a truck driver, or a homemaker. Yes, a homemaker - I am not opposed to a woman deciding to remain at home and take care of the children, and even find it a noble calling, but above all - as anything else - it must be a CHOICE, freely accepted under no compulsion. Argue otherwise, and for all your talk of self-determination, you are a hypocrite.
Homage to freedom may fall from your lips, but I assure you, your daughters have none of it. It is not freedom to relegate them to a single fate. It is not freedom to cow them into accepting your false superiority. And it is certainly not freedom to claim that you or their future husbands "own" them, as they are human beings and the property of no man. If you claim, under any circumstances, that a person is property, then by definition you are a slaver.
I do not say that lightly. You are a slaver, and a slaver of the most abhorrent kind, because you have enthralled them not only physically through abuse of your parental authority, but mentally as well, by convincing them that theirs is a happy condition and they can hope for nothing better. You cite your Bible to justify this evil practice, completely ignoring what grave injury it does to the human spirit. Open your eyes and see the tyranny of your own religion! Throw off the chains that bind you, and those you love will be free.
