Many years ago there was an article in the Reader's Digest written by a doctor who had a friend who got lung cancer and slowly died. The doctor couldn't understand why God let the man "linger" for about 8 months, until he finally realized that God was breaking the man's will to live.
Sometimes when the time comes, death is made to be welcomed.

"he finally realized that God was breaking the man's will to live."
What a fucker! (God, not the doctor.)
Yes, because nothing is more Holy and Good than torturing a man for 8 months so that the man was begging to be able to die.
'Cause, you know, that's so much more compassionate and humane than a quick, painless death.
Wow. Just... just wow. That's just... horrible. I really don't know what else to say. If I met someone in real life who said this to me, I'd punch them in the face. Seriously. That's just disgusting, inhumane, atrocious, appalling, etc.
I had a friend who got lung cancer, underwent treatment and seemed to be as good as new. Then he suddenly dropped dead. I guess God forgot to break his will to live first.
I know a guy who prays to win at craps. And waddaya know; he actually does - about 49% of the time!
Yeah, eight months of continual suffering will do that to you. But of course, if the man went quickly, it would have been because "God wanted to spare him from suffering."
God was breaking the man's will to live.
Yeah, that's god for you. Now explain again why you dipshits worship him?
ooooooooooooooookkkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy.
I'm glad enough time has passed that that doctor has probably died or retired...preferably died, slowly and painfully.
So, if someone loses their will to live god's okay with that? So, why is suicide so heinous? (from god's point of view, not from the point of view of the surviving family members/friends)
I would think dying suddenly would be a lot easier on all parties than dragging it out to the point where the pain of death is less than all the pain you've already felt.
God is either an idiot or a douche, and either way, not worthy of existence or worship.

After reading a lot of AV1611Vet's crap, for example.
So if that is the case...and I am thinking that you think this is a good thing...why doesn't god get us all to the point where death is welcomed?
AV1611Vet, you are quickly becomin one of my leading candidates for douche of the month.
I'm a member of Christian Forums, but I'm not an idiot. I'm embarrassed by the large number of entries that come from CF.
I read this website regularly and have even submitted a few quotes. I just wanted y'all to know that we're not ALL this dumb.
Confused?
