Wow I didn't realize that it was wrong for a woman to translate, pastor. Thanks for pointing that out. I have helped once or twice (not really publicly) to partially translate english to german for the german speaking visitors. I won't do that again.

I post in that forum (albeit, I haven't posted there in a really long time), and I can't find any biblical support for women not being allowed to translate languages.
AmazingGrace has done everything! Translated German, cut herself, been a high school dropout, been a satanist...Damn, I wish I could do as many things as she has!

I just can't grasp how so many people can treat their pastor as some kind of mensa-material world-authority whenever they can't make sense of something in the bible or make the bible fit in with real life. News flash: the pastor is most likely of the same order of intelligence as yourself, and he doesn't have anything more to go on than the bible either. He therefore has no more chance than you of reaching a useful result, and so has no actual intellectual authority, for all the silly clothes he might wear.

She's also been a lesbian and a streetkid! I was going to submit that post as well, but I think I got distracted by something shiny. She's my new favourite fundie.
Well, I can't really consider her stopping to inflict fundiebabble on German-speakers a bad thing, but yeah, definite Fundie Stockholm Syndrome candidate....
AG, though I'm sure it's just the brainwashing you've gone through, you are still a pathetic excuse for a person. Do yourself a favour jump in front of a speeding train.
BTW: Do not ask your pastor for advice on this matter!!
How sad. Some of the kindest and most helpful teachers I've ever met have been female foreign language teachers (no, seriously), but they are all going to hell, according to fundies.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - fuck your God.
What is it with these fundies and their fascination with the King James version? What's wrong with the Septuagint, New Life, Haydock, Quaker, or other translations? It's all the same in the end (Kind of like Broken Telephone, what was supposed to be one message gets lost in translation to something entirely different ;)).
Wow, thanks for the slam Pastor, my husband and father are out working hard all day but the shit talking layabouts my source on lifes tapestry.
STOP LISTENING TO FANTASY MERCHANTS.
I really hope this is tongue in cheek, and she "won't do it again" because she is going somewhere else on Sunday mornings, anywhere else. The beach, perhaps.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
