You Atheists seem to have some pretty low expectations when it comes to existence. Why should I believe you will behave as morally as someone who believes they are destined for more than maggot-food, and why should I believe that you will behave more morally than someone who believes they are constantly being watched by an omnipresent, omnipotent entity? You aren’t making much sense.

You Christians seem to have some pretty low expectations when it comes to existence. Why should I believe you will behave as morally as someone who believes they only get one shot at life and leading a good life benifits everyone including himself, and why should I believe that you will behave more morally than someone who believes they are God's people, eveyone else is a heritic and evil and God wants them to kill these infidels? You aren’t making much sense.
Fixed!
Why do you people trust church going people. A lot go to appear to be good people but are really total assholes, con-men work churches because of that blind faith, and yes sometimes the leaders of the church are terrible people. There are several sites listing sexual impropriety and theft amongst your leaders. You put your trust in them and they will eventually burn you
Oh? Why should I believe you honestly care about anyone but yourself if the only reason you act in a moral fashion is because you feel you're being watched? I am good, because I don't believe in hurting others. You do it because you fear divine retribution, and consider yourself morally superior? Don't make me laugh.
Here's the rub
Most of you who proclaim this belief, don't have it. Christians aren't anymore safe, trustworthy or pure in thought as non-Christians.
I'm not saying most your flock don't believe in God and Jesus, I'm saying they must not believe he's always watching or they wouldn't commit offenses.
I recognize that this life is all there is, and I want to make it a good one. A world filled with happy, prosperous and knowledgeable people sounds to me like a good one to live in. Therefore, I support the causes of freedom, equability, sound environmental resource management and improved education. My goals are fully in line with the ancient Greek's teachings on ethics. Neither they nor I need a deity to justify the latter.
By contrast, I have noticed that quite a few (but by no means all) believers in a deity have no trouble at all lawyering their god's commands to justify anything they want to do, no matter how petty, selfish or reprehensible it might be. Indeed, there is an entire branch of literature devoted to scanning the popular holy scriptures in order to make this possible. It is called "apologetics."
All clear now?
Confused?
