Rape is a violent assault....like a beating. It just uses sex as a weapon. Because there's a "sex-factor", it's extra-personal and delivers a beating to one's psyche as well....which is why someone can get simply clobbered and come out relatively mentally/emotionally okay while a someone who's raped may need a psychologist.
Would you feel that way if it was someone else deciding for you?
