Gee, what a coincidence, I lost my virginity to rape too!
It was my first time getting drunk, and I wanted just that,
getting drunk, then she raped me. Women aren't the only ones who
can get raped, men can get it too, the only thing is,
men don't go crying around about it.

This post is tragic. And yes, men do get raped. And yes, women do rape. And yes, most people who so readily cry havoc when women get raped do nothing but laugh when it happens to a guy.
Sequal equality is fun [/sarcasm].
IF you are raped, and don't have the dignity to get angry about it, fuck you. Compassionate [whatever political affliction you are] of the month award?
While I'll admit that women raping men is an underestimated crime, 'not crying about it' is presumably part of the problem. QED.
Your story is an argumentum ad absurdum. Men don´t get raped that way because:
a)when a man is drunk or an unwilling participant is bloody difficult to get an erection.
b)women don´t work that way towards sex. They can get pregnant and contract a STD, and bearing in mind that the guy is not likely to wear protection, they don´t do that.
c)They go screaming for those reasons that I have signalled above. Women can have a tougher burden than men, when sex comes.
In any case, go screaming about it means exactly that they´re reclaiming justice. Men don´t do, because what you have stated is not rape. What happens is that, more often than not, both are drunk. Besides, rape is considered when the other participant is SOBER. That´s the difference.
Women can rape men.
You probably weren't raped.
You've just insulted all rape victims everywhere, anywhere at any point in time with the disgusting "crying around about it" jab. Fuck you, you evil piece of shit.
This guy probably wasn't raped, IMO. If he had been, he'd see it as the horrible crime that it is, not something people just need to accept and blow off.
Besides, if he really, truly didn't want it, why didn't he just push the woman off of him? Was he raped by He-Woman, or what?
I nominate this guy for a Lying for Misogyny award.
I'd believe you, but if you were indeed drunk, getting an erection would be difficult, even with direct stimulation.
I agree with Firthy. There's the phrase "whiskey dick" for a reason. Drunk men can't perform. If he were functional, he'd only be buzzed. If he were only buzzed, he could've said no. What a piece of shit.
Your nonchalance about the whole matter tells me that you're a liar. But if you're just covering up the hurt with being a dick, I hope that you get some counseling.
And for everyone else here who's saying that "drunk guys can't get it up": you're wrong. A drunk man can very well be raped, while having an erection, and can even ejaculate during the rape. That attitude is one of the reasons that this guy believes such stupid things.
While I'll admit that women raping men is an underestimated crime, 'not crying about it' is presumably part of the problem.
I think a lot of it has to do with assholes like Mr. Spark, TB, Rahab, Matilde, and TheMissus who are running around to mock men if they admit that they've been raped by a female.
It was not rape if you liked it! If you didn't mind then it was just sex, if you did mind, then it is rape.
I know a story about a male soldier who was raped by his (supposedly) beautiful superior. His "buddies" said that he was a lucky guybecause he had sex with her, the guy was an emotional wreck. I don't know the details anymore because it happened a long, long time ago.
But if he wanted to be raped... then it can't be rape because that's a necessary truth, it can't be refuted.
Also nearly all cases of male rape involved a man anally raping a man - very few women can rape a man with the exception being when the woman is above the man in a hierarchy and thus able to threaten/blackmail him into doing it.
I wonder was he anally raped and that's what he secretly wanted?
it is impossible for a woman to rape a man. For one thing, its only rape if its not consentual, and if that was the case you wouldntve gone hard and therefore would've never been able to fuck her. Therefore your rape story is bullshit
I don't know why this guy is writing so sarcastically, but it is perfectly possible for a guy to get raped by a woman while drunk, and comments like half the ones on this board are the reason it's hardly ever reported. And if he's saying that because he doesn't "cry" about it neither should women, well, that's partially because he's an ass, I'm sure, but probably also partially because the rape seriously fucked with him and he's processing it in lousy ways, because society keeps telling him his experience is impossible. This isn't fundie, guys, it's just sad.
"IF you are raped, and don't have the dignity to get angry about it, fuck you."
TB, that's really fucking offensive. You'd never say that to a woman, or I devoutly hope you wouldn't. It's not a matter of dignity; rape strips a person of dignity and one of the many ways that people try to reclaim their dignity is through denial. That goes double for guys, who are led to believe that no man ever gets raped and they're automatically feminized by such an experience. I can't believe you'd acknowledge that it's possible this guy was raped and then say something like that. It's really fucking ugly when people tell other people what a "proper" response to rape looks like, no matter what that person's sex is or how abrasively they're behaving. The only objectionable thing in this guy's response is his attempt to invalidate other survivor's experiences, but that isn't what you were on about. I know this is FSTDT so everyone is ready to hate anyone who shows up here, but start thinking for yourselves rather than having reflex reactions for a change.
And... I'm back. Reading through the comments...
"Your story is an argumentum ad absurdum. Men don´t get raped that way because:
a)when a man is drunk or an unwilling participant is bloody difficult to get an erection."
-Not true. Stress can cause erections, for one thing. For another, physical stimulation is physical stimulation.
"b)women don´t work that way towards sex. They can get pregnant and contract a STD, and bearing in mind that the guy is not likely to wear protection, they don´t do that."
-Bull. First of all, it's easy enough to put a condom on a drunk guy; second of all, if all women were as careful about protection as you're presupposing, no one would ever get pregnant by accident or get an STI.
c)They go screaming for those reasons that I have signalled above.
Women can have a tougher burden than men, when sex comes.
-ABSOLUTELY untrue. NO ONE believes a man when he says he's been raped. Misconceptions like yours are absolutely rampant in our society. Women have a hell of a hard time getting people to believe they've been raped, but it's damn near impossible for a man to convince anyone he's been raped by a woman.
Besides, rape is considered when the other participant is SOBER.
-Untrue. Having sex with a drunk person is rape if they're drunk enough that they can't give consent. It makes absolutely no difference if the perpetrator has been drinking.
Before anyone tells me I don't know what I'm talking about, I've worked at a rape crisis center for two years and have taken a particular interest in this subject. I've talked with guys who've been raped, I've heard them talk about exactly these misconceptions and how they make processing what happened immeasurably more difficult. I doubt anyone I'm responding to will listen, people do get defensive, but I really hope someone will. This is one of the issues I'm most passionate about.
"Besides, if he really, truly didn't want it, why didn't he just push the woman off of him? "
Rahab, you need to be extremely careful when making comments like this. There are reasons why this could happen. If there was a gun held to his head, if he was so drunk/drugged that he couldn't move or was unconscious. If the woman was bigger and stronger. If he was terrified or if the woman was an authority figure and the man was vulnerable.
Would it be correct to use your comment if a big woman had been raped by a small man? I don't think so. Just think before you type, yeh?
I understand that men can and are raped, but there's something about this guy's nonchalant attitude towards it that makes me think he's lying.
Of course, it could just be the way he copes with it, but if that's the case, he needs counseling. (And to be less of an ass.)
People that cry rape just make things harder for people that actually have been raped. And I don't believe this guy for a second.
Why not?
When you say they "make it harder for people who actually are raped," presumably you mean they make it harder for people who have been raped to be believed. So aren't you just playing into the problem by refusing to believe someone when you have virtually no information on their situation?
to everyone saying men can't be raped:
yes, yes we can. I was raped by a female - she drugged my beer with the sole purpose to have sex with me, me being a completely unwilling partner due to who she was, and there was no way in hell that I would have had sex with her if she hadn't drugged me. (think best friend, followed by wife.)
the bitch of it is, she turned around and said that I raped HER. and you know what? a lot of people believed her, simply because she has a vagina, and I have a penis. she did finally come clean about the whole thing though - almost 6 years later.
think about it really, it is not that difficult to arouse a man. so saying "if a man doesn't want sex he can't get hard" is just pure bullshit.
I fail to see how a male can get or maintain an erection in an encounter if he doesn't desire sex in that encounter.
Further, I don't understand how his erection can find it's way into someone else if he doesn't want it to.
Men being raped by other men is surely possible, but men being raped by women seems, at best, very, very unlikely.
If the guy's unconcious or barely concious he might not even be aware enough to resist, at which point our little buddy's more than happy to have fun at our expense. Haven't you ever woken up with your wife or girlfriend screwing you? most of us would never consider THAT situation to be rape (as opposed to "a really good way to wake up") but
There's aphrodisiacs that can do the trick, and even if you REALLY, REALLY don't want to, enough stimulation can get it hard eventually. Its tougher, but quite possible. Men CAN be raped too, and not just by other men. Just that under most circumstances we're a lot more likely to be willing than not (having less to worry about after all).
Still, no means no, no matter your gender.
You cannot control your body reactions, and your body's reactions are NOT an indication of consent. This argument is also used against women, and it is utter bullshit.
This man is devaluing the experiences of rape survivors, but that's absolutely no reason for you to do the same.
You should all know better than this.
@TB
Fuck off Dave.
Yup, that sure is a well thought out argument.
I'm sure there are women out there who were drunk and got raped and don't view the experience as having been horribly traumatic, just like this guy.
But there are enough women -- and presumably men too -- who DO find the experience to be traumatic that we have anti-rape laws for just this reason.
I'm sure if Damian discovers he's been infected with HIV or genital warts as a result of the experience, he'll rethink his "don't go crying abou it" position.
I smell some bitter lies...
"Gee, what a coincidence, I lost my virginity to rape too!
It was my first time getting ass, and I wanted just that,
getting ass, but I was drunk and only lasted a minute. Then she laughed at my micropenis. I was so embarrassed I decided that she raped me in order to salve my ego, and in doing so I downgraded rape of either sex from serious crime to a minor infringement. I am not the only one who sucks at sex, other men suck too, the only thing is, men who really were raped go to the police, and not the internet."
I thought I could smell lies.
Someone said that men can't get erections when they are unwilling participants. As a man I know that to be false. Erections are often involuntary. You can be walking around and get an erection and try to talk it down, but in the end you can't stop it. I have never been a victim of rape, but I imagine that if a woman held a guy down and started sexually stimulating his penis it could get erect against his will.
More likely, you finally succumbed to temptation and had sex, but now your fucked up indoctrination makes you feel so guilty about it that you're making up this bullshit about being drunk and taken advantage of in order to excuse yourself.
It is entirely possible for a woman to rape a man. Firstly, there's the fact that our erections aren't controllable at the best of times. Secondly, there was a case in Russia recently where a woman drugged a man with Viagra before raping him.
This guy is, however, lying. If you look back on it with fondness, it wasn't rape.
Confused?
