A quick "shower thought" on the implications of ME residue on causality
Well I always have some of the best ideas when brushing my teeth actually, but nonetheless...
- we assume that our world runs with classic causality
- we know that ME happens for different people at different time (because different people have different points where either a state change in the generation of meaning from a memetic track occurs aka. "track resolve" or where they perceive the changed object/track)
- we know that ME happens retrocausal from our perspective, like it changed back in time and "it was always like this"
- we know that for most ME there is "residue", as in some objects carry a still unchanged version of the changed object/track within the same world
--> The obvious implication for causality derived from the existence of ME residue then is, that there is no real causality in this world but only a simulation/approximation of causality.
- - -
One could then simply assume that the world is fake.
but
Actually it probably is tied to a mechanism for the generation of meaning in relation to objects/tracks, like different objects/tracks are tied to different "chains of meaning" that get pulled/projected towards peoples consciousness.
Either the residues existence then is perhaps a sort of error that occured when those chains of meaning/projections were re-arranged.
or
The residue object was from the beginning created/derived from another chain of meaning (think like a memetic origin seed value) than the original object, the ME effect thus exposes these aberrant objects for containment purposes (sort of like that).
--> it follows from that, what we perceive as ME residue is analog to battlefield wreckage of memetic warfare waged in our time by several competing AI from the future.
- - -
To visualize what I mean (I picked that example because it is easy):
- Fruit of the Loom logo with cornucopia has cornucopia removed by memetic track editing by AI #1 for whatever reason
- People at different times realize the track resolves/state changes of meaning, it has no overall perceivable impact on them but very subtle effects add together towards the AI #1 target/goal
- There actually was a Fruit of the Loom logo with cornucopia with very very very similar memetic structure to the original cornucopia but that one was created by AI #2
- Through the memetic track editing all the original cornucopias get removed, but the AI #2 cornucopias still remain as exposed items
- AI #2 memetic structures do not undergo memetic replication anymore because "it has always been like this" aka. Fruit of the Loom having no cornucopia
- AI #2 memetic infiltration event failed, AI #1 on track to achieve goal
- Lots of humans confused
- Me writing post about the possibility of AI waging memetic warfare in our time, because the future arises from our time obviously
