[If life is discovered to exist on Europa, would it change anyone's mind about the book Genesis as an accurate depiction of the creation of life?]
Not at all --- this universe is teeming with life from one end to the other --- our instruments just aren't "tuned" to the right specs to detect them.
But angels aside, I don't think we'll find biological life elsewhere because of the Anthropic Principle.

My understanding of the "Anthropic Principle" is that said priciple almost guarantees biological life elsewhere in the universe.
Oh, wait, this post is by AV1611VET, never mind. He must have read the words "Anthropic Prinicple" somewhere and applied fundy logic to it.
Sorry.
So, the universe is "teeming with life," but it's just us and angels? And, apparently, AV doesn't believe angels to be "biological life." Curious.
"Recalibrate the sensors Mr. Data, maybe the life forms out there are invisible to our current sensor settings."
AV, your grasp of reality, science especially, are so tenuous it's a wonder you can even communicate.
Very good way to avoid a sticky question. You have never justified why is it possible that men are made out of clay, women of ribs, that there are speaking serpents, where Caine´s wife came from................so I don´t think an Anthropic principle, whatever you mean, is going to help.

...and if you turn to where we left the KJV last week folks, we'll skip past the "God is only as strong as an unicorn" bit, and find where Jacob calibrated his hourglass through hyperquasitennial dimension shift and - oh forget it. What a collosal dumbass!
I can't imagine rain falling toward earth because, well, you know, there's gravity.
Please stop representing humans.
...How stupid IS this guy?
Oh wait, it's AV...Okay, never mind.

Fact is that we (indeed ALL like on this planet) are carbon based. Europa may well have a life-form with another basis.
In any case, when (not if) extraterrestial life-forms are discovered, the "holy" books will end up at the bottom of the parrot cage.
Never mind, man has invented thousands of gods is his short history. You can soon conjure up another few "one true" sky-daddies to suit.
One can almost see the "thought process" (if it can so be called) in AV1611VET's head:
- "Anthropic Principle" has something important to do with presence of life on a planet.
- Dictionary says "Anthropic" means something to do with humans.
- So for life to be present on a planet.... errr.... humans need to be there?
- *Ding* OMFG! I don't think we'll find biological life elsewhere because of the Anthropic Principle.
I bet AV1611VET looks at this as beating the scienticians at their own game.
Well technically, since sin is said to be the cause of death, and according to the Bible this is the only place with sin, the existence of any other life in the universe that can die would disprove a literal interpretation of the Bible. (Not that I'm saying more disproof is needed, but it would.)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
