I am currently sitting in the Fayetteville Public Library, online, and outside my window in the other room, there is an older hippy woman, in a red hat, glasses, black, loose hippy clothes and sandals with her feet perched up on the table, I mean how rude, this is a Library. She's probbaly looking up Democrat, anti-American, and other far leftist websites, I can't see her computer screen from the angle I am sitting at. I usually don't come to this Library b/c of all the hippies and other far-leftists I see here, and the fact that I have to put up with them almost daily, but it's the only Library opened today. Just wanted to vent some frustration.

For me, there are few more pleasing sights than a library teeming with people of all walks of life. (although it does make it difficult to find a quiet corner). An empty library, on the other hand, that's tragic.
I'm reminded of that beautiful scene from se7en, where Morgan Freeman says "I'll never understand it. All these books, a world of knowledge at your fingertips, and you play poker all night." to the policemen in the library.
I believe someone once said that the only way to advance civilisation is not by forcing people, which is impossible, but simply to build a huge library and leave the door open.
Wait a second... you're frustrated that someone you think is a liberal is using the liberary in your presence? Tetchy, tetchy.
FYI - it's not your library, it's everyone's. Even people you don't approve of.
Aren't they called 'Hippies'? Or 'Hippie' singular? I was always under the impression that 'Hippy' meant someone with big hips.
To the poster: You did say PUBLIC library, you said the 'offensive' woman was in another room. You came to use the computer, SO USE IT! And stop staring at people you have already presumed you don't like. (judging a book by it's cover in a library, interesting) No mention as to what YOU were doing there. I'm sure it was terribly important, and obviously morally superiour to what you are guessing someone else is doing. Don't strain your neck trying to read that strange women's screen now.
You smack of the type that watches 'reality' television, and cares what Pitt/Jolie's baby looks like. Mind your own business.
Well, feet on table IS rude, but rude does not equal Democrat or Anti-American. In fact, Ms. Coulter is pretty rude. As is quite a lot of hte Fundies and right-wingers I see on Fox News.
Well, as usual, this idiots ALWAYS trusting appearances. Jesus said don´t judge lest you shallt be judged, no prob, use it when it is only YOU the one to judge.Judge others anyway. Besides, if she´s looking is not your business, don´t mingle in hers and she will not mingle in yours.
You have to put up with leftists almost daily? That's called living in a free society. I have to put up with right-wingers in my own apartment building, and you know what? They're not paranoid bigots like you.
Why don't engage the so-called hippie woman in conversation instead of fantasizing about her subversive activities? You might discover that she's a human being like yourself.
Oh, wait, then you couldn't fantasize about evil leftist anti-American conspiracies. Never mind, carry on.
What are you doing in a library to begin with, you troublemaker? Everyone knows that liberals and hippies use libraries as places of worship.
Do the old hippies show up in your church and pitch a fit because you conservatives fit the conservative stereotype?
Having established she is a liberal, she could have been checking out dailykos or, even worse, an atheist site. She could have been posting to Richard Dawkins, Internet Infedels or FSTDT!
Wow, I hope this person has since gotten his/her own home computer, if for no other reason than the poor Fayetteville library patrons got tired of this person trying to snoop when they looked up recipes or the disease their mother was just diagnosed with.
Perhaps she has walked far and is tired in her legs. It's good for the circulatory system to perch your (clean) feet on a table or chair now and then. You'll find that out too, if you're lucky enough to live a long life. I have glasses too; am I rude as well?
Liberalism is center-right, not far-leftist.
Is 81 the year you were born, or your IQ?
Can't you use your own computer at home? Why go to the library?
What frustration? That people who are not like you exist and go on with their lives, without snooping on other people's computers?
Why not move to a more far-rightist neighborhood?
This was 2006, get ready for a lot more of this shit as these alt righters unleash all that pent up 50s style 'others' stick up their ass spews their wonderous orange leader has deemed proper.
Specially with the vile mouthed garbage his cabinets appearing to be.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
