I don’t think you even understand the depth of depravity of these people. In the Greek the words for “put asunder” can simply mean to physically separate - and that should not be done! But in the Hebrew the language is much stronger; meaning that you shouldn’t even think of those married as separable from unity. Even to mentally conceive of division is evil.
The prisoner movements Brother Kent has undergone is nothing short of torture - and that against both husband and wife.
But the fact that there is even a separate set of charges for husband and wife is evidence that the brains of the people constructing the charges are deeply depraved.
This is biblical law and it is also inherent in natural law - the law straight from the observation of nature - to separate husband and wife even for a custodial prison sentence is wicked. All hands involved are covered in wickedness. This is the law of the Bible and God shall hold every man accountable for this wickedness.

Oh, boo-fucking-hoo. He should have worried about the consequences of his actions before he cheated on his taxes.
Why should he be treated differently just because he is a Christian?
Isn't that taking the Bible just a wee bit too literally? Last time I checked, under American law, an individual is still an individual. Or would you have both husband and wife sent to jail when one of them is guilty of a crime the other either knew nothing about or was the victim of?
BTW, there is no such thing as "natural law" -- I think the fact that no two people who argue that there is can agree on its nature should prove that much.

It's not torture any more. He's probably used to all those prisoner movements up his arse by now.
The make believe “doctor” Kunt Hovind is lucky he has not yet been charged for the massive child abuse he encourages and has undertaken himself. How many children’s minds and hence their lives has he destroyed. How he gets away with that one can only guess. I suppose the legal system in the US is somewhat lenient on the crimes of simpletons and fund raisers. I believe Ted Haggard, though caught/admitting to hiring prostitutes and buying Crystal meth, not once but on a regular basis has yet to be prosecuted. Maybe if he sucked off a Police Officer in a Toilet rather than a prostitute in a Motel he would of been arrested and charged.
So? Lock 'em both up in the same cell and throw away the key. Fine with me. Of course, Mrs. H might not like sharing space with Kent's prison buddy and new BFF Bubba, but, hey, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
It's funny to see all these fundies suddenly become prisoner-rights advocates when it's one of their own behind bars.
There's no such thing as "guilt by marriage" in Australia or the US. Hovind got 10 years for multiple charges, including failure to pay taxes for his employees. It's the same "Nannygate" law anyone will go to jail under if they're caught hiring people "under the table" for cash. Hovind's wife was charged with making repeated withdrawals just below the $10,000 limit, a practice known as "structuring", to evade the anti money-laundering rules. She only got 1 year.
I can't find any mention of the Hovinds filing joint tax returns. If they filed separate returns, that may be what saved her from sharing his fate.
Render Unto Ceasar Bitch!
Yes the new prom queen of cell block D and his wife were convicted. Prison by defintion seperates a married couple, usually one's in prison and one isn't.
Ah, throw the bitch in prison with Kent-boy if that's what you want.
And what's with the username? Fucks me right off for some reason.
Kent Hovind is a lying sack of shit for Jesus who cheated on his taxes. He's only getting what he deserves.
Where do these people get off in asking that married couples be treated as one person? That's fucking retarded.
Ask the unknowing wife of a rapist, or a murderer, if she wants to go to jail with her husband because of his actions?
Get serious.
"If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man, and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies, then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled."
-- Deuteronomy 24:1-4
Let me see. Let's say that my husband, or me, alone, kill a person or steal. Should we both pay for what ONE of us did?, logical?, not at all. They have separate charges because what they did is DIFFERENT. And just for the record, if this unity was so strong, why did the Old Testament have a libel of repudiation?. I think somebody has no idea of law, biblical or not.
Confused?
