What is cancer? Cancer is mutated cells that mindlessly multiply and destroy their surrounding healthy cells. The analogy can be extended to what is society’s cancer? It is the same. Mindeless individuals who multiply, invade healthy societies and then begin destroying them when the time calls.

Not really fundie. And I don't doubt that he's an ex Muslim. People who convert to a new religion, or leave their old one, tend to be more hardcore about it than their fellows who stayed the same all throughout their life.
And he has a point. There are entire sectors of Britain in which Sharia law is enforced brutally. "Moderate" Muslim apologists will often admit that they support killing apostates, as Mohamad Mukadam did in a debate with Richard Dawkins, or as Dawahfilms did in a back and forth with Thunderf00t.
I am an atheist. I don't see any truth in the Bible. But in the majority of conflicts in the world right now, Islam is the source of them. If the Muslims would lay down their arms, there would be no more war. If the civilized world would lay down it's arms, there would be no more civilized world.

I had a (admittedly benign ) tumour removed with the help of a Sufi Muslim who was the anaesthetist in that operation to have such removed. He's my physician nowadays. I'd trust him with my life .

And there's your problem. Muslims, by and large, are not at war with us. Muslim extremists are. Most Muslims, especially in Western nations, are perfectly reasonable people. Your whopping two examples of self-proclaimed moderates expressing extremist beliefs do not change that.
As for the British sharia law thing, I'm inclined to call bullshit on the grounds that, if it were true, then your post would likely not be the first place I'd hear of it. Maybe someone else (possibly someone from Britain) can clarify/confirm/deny?

If the only "evidence" you can find for such a thing is an article in the Daily Mail (a tabloid rag which has a history of supporting fascists and demonising anything that isn't conservative middle England), then I humbly suggest that you've been taken in by right-wing propaganda masquerading as "news".
What's happened here is that the Daily Mail has gone up to some loudmouth whose gabble can be spun into a story about how them dirty forrin types are taking over.
It's part of a range of output they produce in order to keep their readership of curtain-twitchers and bigots psychologically wound up. Immigrants, non-Christians, benefits claimants, and many others are considered fair game by the Mail. It's a toxic influence on British discourse.
Here's hoping it goes the same way as the News of the World.

Speaking as a Brit, that's complete horseshit. And the story you found is from the British equivalent of Fox News.
Now that I'm off work and have access to a computer...
The closest thing I could find to mentioning anything about Sharia law being enforced in British neighbourhoods from any sort of reputable source was about a bill recently passed that allows for wills to be drafted according to Sharia law. The only sites that are reporting anything even remotely similar to what Nemo's suggesting are far-right loonie bins like the Blaze and the Daily Mail.
Hopefully you can understand my skepticism, then. Especially with people who live in Britain saying that it's all a load.
1). I was wrong about saying there are Sharia zones in Britain. I should have checked my sources before making the claim (I was disappointed to only find the Daily Fail, but I was also about to head to work and didn't have much time). So, I'm sorry.
2). For those saying this person is not an Ex-Muslim, I'm certain they are. Many ex Muslims are fiercely opposed to their old religion. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is an ex Muslim who knows the true nature of her former religion better than anyone else. That's frequently the case with any type of convert; they despise their old worldview. Look at how many of the fiercest of atheists hates the religion they deconverted from.
