Evolution says only the fittest survive, correct atheists?
if this is true, why wouldnt you be weeding out all the sickleys in your family to not risk your clan from being a dying breed in this 'game of life'? why do you treat the sickleys in your family and allow them to breed further sickleys?
and while i have your attention, how many monkey babies have been marked in your family tree the past 100 years? i mean, REAl monkey babies. how fascinating!

What the hell is a "sickley" and why do you keep saying it like it's a word?
And that would not be natural selection, dumbass. In addition to the fact that, you know, we can figure out murder is bad without a book to tell us.
I'm not even going to dignify the monkey babies thing with a comment.
What the hell is a "sickley?" Does she mean people in our family who may not be as healthy as they could be? What do you want us to do, stone them to death? Well I thought it was your God's design.
I think the human body is an amazing thing, but all the things the can and do go wrong, should be an inkling that maybe it wasn't God's perfect design after all.
Given that humans are a social species, an important part of our fitness is our ability to care for each other. Mean loners and raving paranoids, the kind of people who try to "weed out the sick", are not "fit" in an evolutionary sense and aren't good to have in society.
Given the length of time it takes for a new species to arise, absolutely no-one would expect any monkeys in a human family.
Because, as Richard Dawkins has pointed out on numerous occasions, evolution through natural selection (so-called 'survival of the fittest') is a wonderful system for creating lifeforms, but a lousy way to run a society.
Why do people like you have trouble with such a simple concept?
Because we humans figured out a long time ago that united we stand, divided we fall? And that we care for one another so that even the ones that are weak now may someday grow stronger, or at least fulfill another purpose to the greater society right now that doesn't require full fitness?
You know, with so many people like Tina here, I'm thinking "indivisble" is the part we should remove from the pledge instead....
"Why do people like you have trouble with such a simple concept? "
Is it that surprising, when they have trouble with even simpler concepts like "English language" and "spelling and punctuation".
Evolution does not say only the fittest survive. It says the fittest are MORE LIKELY to survive, and thus pass on their genetic information to future generations.
If by "sickleys" you mean "people with less-than-perfect health or disabilities", you obviously do not understand how social animals function. Social animals take care of their ill and injured. However, despite the best of medical efforts, they are STILL more likely to die early than a perfectly healthy individual, and are less likely, on average, to find mates. However, when they do mate, the children receive traits from both parents, so the offspring are less likely to be defective, and eventually the defect is bred out entirely. This is why we do not breed with immediate family, as this exaggerates defects in our genetic code.
As for how many "real monkey babies" my family has produced in the last 100 years, if by "monkey" you mean "ape", I'd say roughly 100% of all babies born into the family over the last 100 years were apes, as all human beings are apes.
Wow, this Tina S. cunt really doesn't understand darwin's theory at all.
I don't know how these people get up in the morning.
If they cannot understand Darwin, I really doubt they can understand the bible.
I guess christianity is the proof that they cannot.
Because mental fitness is as important to a human society as physical fitness, and people in disabled or decrepit bodies may have lots to teach the rest of us.
Which doesn't explain why people who believe in evolution keep *you* around, but does demonstrate that they are capable of compassion.
Because if they are able to survive and breed then they are fit, by definition. We care for those 'sickly' members of our families because of kin selection. We have evolved behaviours that facilitate caring for those in our family because it increases our chances of our genes being passed through to the next generations. eg. if you have a sibling who reaches maturity and has 2 surviving children, that is genetically equivalent to you having 1 child of your own.
What you are talking about is Eugenics, which is evolutionary theory incorrectly applied. For a species to be successful, variation is a must. Sometimes what seems to be disadvantagous in one context is advantagous in another. eg. sickle cell anaemia became an advantage to those populations that suffer from high rates of malaria.
As for the monkey babies thing, I think you might be a little misinformed about what 'common ancestor' means.
Evolution explains how life developed on this planet. It is not a blueprint for society. Nor is it a religion whose edicts must be obeyed, anymore than we "obey" gravity when we trip and fall.
Calling people "sickleys" shows the sort of compassion I'm accustomed to hearing from fundies. Asking about real monkey babies is nonsense because we're apes, not monkeys.
Facepalm.
Survival of the fittest refers to species, not members within a species. The straw man you are attacking is haphazard blend of natural selection and "might makes right" ideology that we have come to know and love as "social Darwinism". It is to evolution what strict adherenence to the doctrine of the Pusher and Shover robots is to gravity.
As for your last two sentences: do you even know what evolution is, or do you just think that if your sentence involves monkeys, birth, and humans that it automatically serves your purposes of arguing against it?
Sigh. While the theory of evolution through natural selection is the explanation for how complex life came into existence, it is NOT an example of how we should run a society. I've never understood why people opposed to evolution assume that people who accept evolution want society to be run on evolutionary principles. I for one, DONT want society to mirror nature. So far, we are the only species we know of that have evolved to the point where we can emancipate ourselves from our violent evolutionary history. By understanding evolution we can get a pretty good idea of what NOT to do to each other. Evolution is slow, inefficient, wasteful and unimaginably cruel. It's an unguided process, it doesn't have feelings or goals. But out of that thoughtless process of survival, we humans have emerged, and now we're smart enough not to need to fight every man for himself.
Theres a BBC Sci-fi drama about a gorilla/human hybrid baby. Everytime i see a quote mentioning monkeys and humans i think of it - but i can never remember the damn name!!
FIRST BORN!!!! Thats the name! FINALLY.
Synopsis
Genetic scientist Edward Forester (Charles Dance) successfully breeds a human-gorilla hybrid baby called Gor. But he becomes emotionally attached to the child and is unable to destroy it. So he hides Gor, passing him off as his adopted son, whilst going to painstaking lengths to teach him to walk and talk. As Gor grows up, the practical, emotional and moral consequences of Edward’s decision lead inexorably to tragedy.
Because if that was allowed, you would be terminated first, society would be less civil than it is.
Feel free to self extingish though.
Pulling your head out of your arse would be a good start.
“Evolution says only the fittest survive, correct atheists?”
No. It says that the fittest TEND to thrive. Not exclusively.
“if this is true”
It’s not.
“why wouldnt you be weeding out all the sickleys in your family to not risk your clan from being a dying breed in this 'game of life'?”
Because ‘cooperation’ is the strategy we chose for survival.
"why do you treat the sickleys in your family and allow them to breed further sickleys?”
because your premise is fucked
“and while i have your attention, how many monkey babies have been marked in your family tree the past 100 years?”
Wow. You got even dumber.
“i mean, REAl monkey babies. how fascinating!”
Mockery from Ignorance… How droll.
Confused?
