"The idea of people and trees being related is stupid because there is no scientific, empirical evidence that supports it. Are there fossils that bear aspects of human beings and non-living things, like rocks and trees?"

Good ol' Ray. Whenever I'm feelin' blue, I just read one o' his ol' rantins' and ravins', and it always makes me smile, knowin' that I'm much, much more intelligent than him. Yes, yes, it's an ego boost. It also makes me glad that I made the right choice leaving Christianity.
I know how you fundies manage to keep lying to yourself and the world. You only read every 3rd or 4th word in a scientific journal, making sure it sounds totally senseless, then make idiotic claims that proven science is wrong.
@ Belquer
For fuck sakes.
There's so much info on the internet and you fail to go outside of your fundie bubble. Stop getting your facts from creationist dillholes like Cumfart. What's wrong are you scared to see what the other side really has to offer? Nah, you're just happy attacking the strawmen Ray sets up for his sheep.
@wombat: He is an Indonesian man named Dede, he suffered from a very severe case of human papillomavirus (HPV), or warts. I believe the strain of the virus he had was common warts, reather then a cancerous strain. There was a documentary about him of the Discovery channel awhile ago. I believe however that since that picture was taken that he has infact received medical treatment and has had the warts removed.
It's a miracle. I opened up a rock and there was a fossilised rock inside it! And the fossilised rock exactly resembled the image of the Virgin Mary burnt onto a piece of toast.
So God WANTS you to believe in Him, His mother, toast and evolution.
I think you're related to nothing. And, hey look, coincidence or what? erikloza's anagram = a zero ilk
What's that all about? I think we should be told.
I'm sorry, but fossilized rocks... That one gets to me every time. OK, I know you can all read, I won't point it out again. Fossilized rocks... LOL...
Although humans and trees are far diverged, as are most plants and animals, there is "scientific, empirical" evidence that supports the idea of common ancestry, which would then go into the relationship of humans and plants, such as trees. +2 Stupidity Points. Also, fungi are far closer to animals than they are to plants, so that by itself is slight evidence for the "relation of people and trees". Fossils are rocks. PS: Trees are alive.
Confused?
