Conservapedia proven right, again: the nation that rejects same-sex marriage and stands up against the homosexual agenda wins the World Cup. Germany did not lose a game the entire tournament, even though its opponents often had more talented players.

So you're saying that if America, like Germany, recognized civil relationships (which is a marriage in all but name), we would have won the World Cup? Wow, gob is picky!
So divine retribution has been reduced to losing the World Cup?
Funny, back in the day, God would be raining down fire and brimstone on people or flooding everything.
So what happened, Andy?
Being from Germany - yeah, we do not have full gay marriage here yet, only civil unions, but I daresay Germany is a lot more gay friendly than the US.
So - fuck you in the neck, Assfly!
Conservapedia proven delusional and divorced from reality again. Germany is probably working towards same-sex marriages. They already have registered partnership, and that's hardly REJECTING same-sex marriage.
Is that the best your god can do nowadays?
Too bad he's not focusing on who stands up against ratifying the Convention on the Rights of the Child, then US of A, Somalia and South Sudan would win every three years, or something.
Berlin is considered the atheist capital of Europe. 87% of Germans believe homosexuality should be accepted by society. Gay people can serve in the military since 2000. Only the CDU/CSU oppose gay marriage, all other parties are for it. And the CDU opposes discrimination against gay people. Germany has many openly gay politicians. They're far from anti-gay. If Iran won, then maybe. But the simple fact is the 4 countries who topped out in the world cup are very gay friendly. Russia on the other hand...
Your God seems... really petty these days.
And besides, I thought that you "real" (read: Conservative) Americans hate soccer...
Let's look at the countries that failed to make it to the last sixteen. Do they have gay marriage:
Australia (some states have civil unions)
Bosnia-Hercegovina (no)
Cameroon (no)
Croatia (civil unions)
Ecuador (civil unions)
England (yes)
Ghana (no)
Honduras (no)
Iran (are you kidding?)
Italy (no)
Ivory Coast (no)
Japan (no)
Korea (no)
Portugal (yes)
Russia (see Iran)
Spain (yes)
10 out of 16 say no, and three only offer civil unions.
Of those that made the last sixteen:
Algeria (no)
Argentina (yes)
Belgium (yes)
Brazil (yes)
Chile (forthcoming legislation)
Colombia (civil unions)
Costa Rica (no)
France (yes)
Germany (civil unions)
Greece (no)
Mexico (yes)
Netherlands (yes)
Nigeria (no)
Switzerland (civil unions)
United States (in some states)
Uruguay (yes)
7 out of 16 say yes and before long that will be up to 9. 3 only offer civil unions. So there you have it; if you have gay marriage, you are more likely to do well in the World Cup. Thanks for the methodology, Andy.
If opposition to gay marriage won countries the World Cup, shouldn't Russia, Saudi Arabia, or Uganda have been the ones that won? Why did Germany, who basically has civil unions and a policy and culture of non-discrimination be the ones to win? It's almost as if it had nothing to do with gay marriage and everything to do with being one of the best soccer teams in the world. If Uganda won a World Cup out of nowhere after making even more draconian punishments against gays, then you could make your ridiculous little argument.
Conservapedia proven right, again
Wait, "again?" When has Conservapedia ever been proven right and why wasn't it reported in the news?
Then why didn't Iran or Russia win?
If we stop eating clams, will it rain?
Hey Andy, have you ever wondered what your life would have been like if Phyllis had cravings for ice cream instead of lead paint when she was carrying you?
About 7 in 10 Germans supports gender-neutral marriage, yet the main political opposition is from the CDU (of which most registered voters also support legalisation).
Why do you so hate democracy, Assfly? Why?
@everyone talking about Iran
What is all this business about Iran? Iran has no gays--just ask Mahmood I'madinnerjacket~!
Ah, Andy Shitfly and the pointless gruntings of Constipaedia proven right again. By right, of course, he means the opposite of that.
You'd think the Lord of the Universe would have more important things to do than rewarding or punishing entire nations based on whether or not they discriminate against homosexuals. Andy seems to think "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind" trumps "love thy neighbor" and "whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them".
And yet, your country - USA - in reaching the Quarter Finals for the second time in it's entire international football history, did slightly better than North Korea, when it did the same in the 1966 World Cup.
'Nation(s) that rejects same-sex marriage and stands up against the homosexual agenda' you say, Andy Schaftafly? In that case why didn't Russia win the 2014 World Cup instead of Germany? And why is Russia facing having it's hosting the next World Cup taken away from them by FIFA, for their invading Ukraine?
'Germany did not lose a game the entire tournament, even though its opponents often had more talented players. ' you say II, Andy Schaftafly? The entire country of Brazil would like a word with you, re. Germany's 7-1 evisceration of their team. And it can be said without fear of contradiction, that Brazil is no longer 'The Spiritual Home of Football' after that utter humiliation by Germany.
...what, you know that your team would fare equally badly against the new football superpower? Deutschland über alles indeed, baby!
And the way things are going in Germany, public opinion-wise, I'm afraid your 'theory' re. homosexuality & sporting achievement, may go the same way as your country did in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. >:D
Yeah, that'll show 'em.
Demonstrate a causal relationship between SSM and soccer performance. Show us how it was anything more than a bigoted lucky guess.
Besides, Russia is about as anti-gay as it gets, and they didn't get the World Cup, either.
How much crack is this schmo smoking? When has the lie infested bastion of ignorance dubbed conservapedia been right about anything?
And since when do the wingnut conservative tea-heads support soccer or the too-liberal-for-them Germany? The Germans do not "stand up against," i.e. discriminate against, gay people. What will they say when Germany has legalized same sex marriage and they still kick ass at soccer, hmmm? Obviously something profoundly stupid, but, yeah...
So God blesses their football team.
Why not something more clear? Why not "hey, these guys have the right idea"? Why not a pillar of smoke or something? Why does God's involvement in the world seem to be functionally indistinguishable from confirmation bias?
@the biggest WTF isn't the quote
What do you mean by "FAS" being funny? Besides, FAS wasn't mentioned. @breakerslion clearly said LEAD PAINT. Not much better, but nutpicking ain't helping you out at all.
Someone commented on how the CDU, which is our conservative party (probably still left of the US Democrats on most issues) opposes full gay marriage. Actually, most of their voters either support gay marriage or don't give a fuck. The official party line opposes gay marriage because they fear to lose the votes of Bavarian hillbillies...
The mayor of our capital (social democrat) is gay, our former foreign minister (libertarian) is gay (the guy's an idiot, but I celebrated when he went to Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and places like that.) Also, the former mayor of Hamburg, who's a conservative, is also gay.
@birdboy2000
Thanks for corrrecting me. And further proving my point.
...certainly re. Canadia. Must suck, knowing that your country will never win at the most popular sport on the planet. Like I say: at least North Korea - knocking out the favourites to win in the 1966 World Cup, Italy - made it to a Quarter Final.
But you go back to your precious WWE, Can('t)adia. Fantasy & 'Pretend' being far more 'interesting' to ADHD-afflicted inbred retards like you , eh?!
Whatever you like means less -than fuck all. As do countries - who never win the World Cup, the premier competition of the most popular sport on the planet. [/England, 1966]
@SpukiKitty
I was worried for a while, reading your comment. You see, I go by McFly on another site and I was wondering how I may have pissed you off... Then I realized that you meant the OP and my pulse started to get close to normal...
"Conservapedia proven right, again: the nation that rejects same-sex marriage and stands up against the homosexual agenda wins"
Uganda.
A country that is devoutly Christian, to the extent that they've all but adopted the '10 Commandments' as the basis of their legal system. Homosexuality is illegal there. They're a member of the Commonwealth. Therefore a question...:
image
Why isn't Uganda at the top of that medal table (as of yesterday) for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and the 'nations that underachieve ' due to their imposing same-sex marriage and increasingly Atheistic, are ?! Remember, England (i.e. that part of the UK) recently made S-SM legal, so I guess that's why we must be at the top , eh Andy Schaftafly...?! [/Romans 13:1-5]
Someone's wrong here. And not even William Hill or Paddy Power would take bets on that . >:D
--EDIT--
As of this posting, and at this time:

You couldn't be wronger if you tried, Mr. Schaftaly. Even Greece managed two Bronzes at our 2012 London Olympics. North Korea won four golds .
Confused?
