For years I would tell Marines this would happen. They thought I was crazy since No One could imagine a Marine Flag at the head of a parade honoring a bunch of sodomites.

It wasn't your country to begin with, it was the Native Americans. Just get in line; when they have gotten their country back, maybe you'll get yours back to. Just maybe, mind you, and it might take a while; just ask the Natives...

What, you assume there weren't any gay men in the service until DADT was ended? And keeping your Honor clean may have more to do with not lying, obeying legal orders, honouring your Oath and so on (just like Oliver North) then worrying about who's fucking who.

Be warned, though: attempt your little retaking with anything more than words and most of those marines you're attempting to appeal to will be among the first to point a gun at your heart and advise you to rethink your plans. It's part and parcel to that "fight for right and freedom" that they've dedicated themselves to.

Well, there were certainly gay Marines at the Battle of Chapultepec (the Halls of Montezuma), on the shores of Tripoli, battles in Northern lands, in the tropics. Every battle of the Pacific. The bravery and courage they refer to in the hymn are referring to ranks of men that included gay soldiers. And probably a few transgenders. And atheists. Muslims.

No one? I could imagine it. What’s crazy is thinking that being gay dishonors a profession of killing people when called upon to do so.
