*Gay marriage ban challenged in California court*
There was a time when I would have cheered about this.
It's amazing how much I've grown since then.

That's not called growth.
Pretending others are smaller than you and undeserving of equal rights might make you feel bigger, but you're really the same size.
A bit uglier, though.
"It's amazing how much I've grown since then."
So, how'd they get you to become a mindless sheep like them? Guilt trip about original sin maybe?

There was a time when I would not have given a rat's ass about this.
It's amazing how much I've grown since then.
Grown in ignorance perhaps.
In reality, there was a time when I would have lamented this, but since then I have grown far more tolerant. It's amazing what shedding religion can do to you.
Yup, nothing like getting together on the Internet with a bunch of fundamentalist rapture cultists to turn you into a hate-filled, judgmental, homophobic, holier-than-thou bigot.

Yes, it's amazing how many of these people are former (insert one -- or more -- here): atheists, Satanic priests/priestesses, liberals, homosexuals, god haters, Prius drivers, women who worked outside the home, public school supporters, Democrat voters, abortionists, etc., who have seen the light of Bible-gawd and his cult of hate and death.
"And on matters of social policy, Olga sat there, perfectly motionless."
Bonus points to whomever gets the reference.
Taking a step backward is not "growing."
Funny, I used to be against gay marriage, then I became an Atheist, and now am for it. I guess accepting that I'm gay also had something to do with it.
Frankly, I'm glad I joined the 21st century instead of being a bronze age wannabe.

Certainly physiologically, but psychologically, no.
Confused?
