Jewish leaders have called on Le Pen, 85, was to be stripped of his parliamentary immunity as an MEP after acontroversial play on words linking "oven" with a celebrated Jewish singer in a video posted in the FN's website.
Launching into an attack on celebrities who have criticised the far-right party, including Madonna and tennis player turned musician Yannick Noah, Le Pen was asked about the French singer Patrick Bruel.
"On fera une fournée la prochaine fois " (next time we'll make a batch ), he said. The word "four " [from which comes the word "fournée "] translates as oven.
[ Italizing, bracketing and bolding mine
The word "fournée" can be translated as "baker's batch" and can be colloquially be used to speak about a work shift. ]

This is not the first time he has made a play on the word "four"; in 1988, he attacked a minister, Michel Durafour, referring to him as "Durafour-crématoire."
If you are conspirationist, you will conclude that he is playing the devil to make his daughter Marine, new head of the party, more sane(she officially took her distances from her father), while reassuring the most crazy part of the Nationalist electorate.
To give more context :
(1)the FN has some kind of usefulness : the crazy dangerous right-wingers, colonization nostalgic, belong to a structure that give them the impression to be more important than they are.
(2)Marine LePen wants power. She knows she cannot get much if she stays within the crazy line. She has a softer speech.
(3)If something more radical politically emerges to her right, her hopes are toasted.
(4)That speech from the founding father has a double advantage for her : she looks like moderate(and therefore can harvest more voices), while ensuring the old guard doesn't make anything crazy(the remnants of OAS are still dangerous, and the FN keeps them quiet).
In other words : either there is a clash between the daughter & the father, and it's frightening, as it may mean the extreme-right would become violent & out of control again, or it's a plot between them, and it's frightening because they gain stronger position by being clever(and the french left especially stupid & naive).
whatever:
'Is there not a UN law preventing holocaust sympathisers from holding political office in Europe?'
No. Even meaning an EU law, there does not seem to be any law restricting MEP's to non-holocaust deniers (aka reasonable people). This allows XA of Greece and Jobbik of Hungary to have seats in the European Parliament (both of whom arguable b=make the FN look like moderates). I believe some nations have restrictions on holocaust denial, but this is not EU wide-e.g. illegal in Germany, but in the UK the government allow these people to make fools of themselves in public.
@Glandu
The veterans of the OAS and the Milice will always know they have a place in the FN, even if, now, they have to have a lower profile and not get exposed to do Hitler salutes, among others.
And are arthese recent outbursts caused by the fact the older Le Pen don't want to lose importance in the party he founded to his daughter and her friends?

The important thing is how they feel. If they have to hide too much, they might be tempted to find another home. Being part of a big party, OTOH, is also appealing to them - as long as they somewhat feel at home.
As much as I hate it, the FN has this hygienic function to keep them within the democratic game.

That's possible? I do not have enough insight to know wether he's playing maverick, or if it's plotted. I tend to think he's a maverick, but the (rather simple)conspiration is not to rule out until we get more information.
Yeah, apparently Death to the Jews actually means Have a Fine Day in ancient Saxon.
The worst kind of racist is the one who tries to hide behind a wink and a nod.
Confused?
