(Arsonists set fire to Sarah Palin's church.)
Rod Weathers: It's absurd to deny that atheists are the heart of this. Who would torch a church but unfaithful, god-hating people? This is no assumption, but an overwhelming statistical fact.
TK: An arsonist would not, could not, be a "Christian". So who else but an atheist? Someone following Christ's teaching would never do arson. So, logically, one would assume it is a Godless person.

Hi Rod. I'd be very interested to examine the statistics you have of the religious affiliations of church torchers.
Some definitions:-
Christian = to torch churches if vengeful.
Conservapedia = unashamedly bone-headed posturing.
Rod Weathers and TK, = to pretend to statistical certainty.
Hovind = to use only water when washing without the use of soap.
American jailbird = Christian criminal who enjoys anal sex. (statistically, by far the greatest amount of American criminals are Christians)
Let's see who could it be
- Her ex-husband that she tried to run out of the state?
- Someone who believes she should be back in the kitchen?
- Someone's whose pissed that she lost it for McCain?
- The daughters boyfriend? Has he bought his one way ticket to California yet?
- A bored teenager that has no parental supervision?
- Palin herself to get some media attention?
I think it's terrible to commit arson, no matter who the victim is, or who the arsonist is. It is pretty rude of you to automatically rule out Christians as arsonists, though. Christians have done a lot worse in the past.
Good job offending every atheist. Some of the worst people I know are Christians. They hide behind the mask of Christianity, giving them an excuse to continue whatever it is they are doing since they think they are infallible as long as they ask Jesus Fucking Christ to forgive them.
Who did the Jewish holocaust? Would not, could not, be a "Christian"?
If I had been there I would have pissed on it for you but I definitely would not have started it.
Because:
1) There could have been people in it.
2) Someone could have died or been seriously hurt trying to put it out.
3) Everyone has the right to believe and worship what they please as long as it does not infringe on the rest of the population.
4) Fires pollute the air and hurt the planet.
5) Its against the law.
6) I have better things to do.
BTW Christians used to set fires all the time: Witch Burning
Does this account for the fact that the prison population of the USA is 97.4% christian and 0.2% atheist?
This fact is reflected in every country on this planet.
BTW, I (a christian myself) do not regard Sarah Palin as an honest person. She, like George Bush, only acts religious to gain the fundie vote. Fortunately the fundie community is now dwindling both in credibility and numbers.
This is terrible news! They should have made sure that Sarah Palin was inside with no means of escape.
IMO, Sarah Palin did it to get (even more) media attention.
FREEDOM FOR ALASKA! (The USA would be better off with 1 state less)
Who would torch a church but unfaithful, god-hating people?
Well, members of any other religion and any other sect of Christianity. And any crazy arsonist, regardless of his religion or lack thereof, who just likes to watch stuff burn and was in the area. Or even a member of that very church who felt betrayed by her party's election failure or something and just snapped.

Sweatt and I went on to trade letters for more than a year, often on a daily basis. He wrote thoughtfully about his large, supportive family and his faith in God, each note filled with the same soft-spoken kindness he’d shown to co-workers as well as to the agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) who’d captured him.
I think you are wrong.
Umm..statistical facts are that the majority of people who burn down churches tend to be racist, bigoted white southern baptists. The next in line tend to be midlleclass white kids who believe in god but prefer the "satan" idea of Christianity better.
I have never heard of an atheist burning a church down in America. Maybe in Russia during the revolution, but we ARE talking about American statistics here arent we?
[An arsonist would not, could not, be a "Christian".]
Yet, if it had been a clinic offering abortion services, you would claim that the arsonist was a goodly warrior for God, wouldn't you?
An arsonist would not, could not, be a "Christian"
The christian warriors during the crusades thought otherwise. Lots of building (even churches) were destroyed by fire that was laid by so called christian knights. I should also mention the 30 years war, the "holy war" between catholics and protestants, where no side showed to much scruples with regards to killing civilists, looting and setting fire on churches and other buildings. Whole regions in germany were depopulated during this war thanks to the actions of these "christian warriors".
Also a majority of the american prison population is christian. I have no doubt that a certain percentage of them are locked away for arson ;)
Your bigotry is showing.
[citation neede - oh, wait, no, citations are communistic anti-jeebus evil, right? I mean, just look at that other online encyclopedia...
"An arsonist would not, could not, be a "Christian". So who else but an atheist? Someone following Christ's teaching would never do arson. So, logically, one would assume it is a Godless person"
Or perhaps a wolf or moose with a blowtorch in it's mouth, seeking vengeance?
God moves in mysterious ways after all.
Who would torch a church but unfaithful, god-hating people?
...ummm... Christians? Oh you meant a CHRISTIAN church, well, yeah, christians do that, too.
The K.K.K. call themselves christians,
most of them southern baptist, and they
torched many churches in the south during
the 1950's and 60's.
They only burned down the churches that
black people attended.
Christians against christians.
There seems to be a lot of racisism among
christians.
If you hate God, you have to believe in him, to some extent. Ergo, you are not an atheist.
You can like the culture and history of a church-building, without believing that the building is the Home of the Lord. I would never arson a church, churches mean a lot to lots of people. They have the right to keep that building.
I'd say the most likely perpetrator is a Christian of another denomination. Or a Jew or Muslim.
A religious person, in short.
"TYLER, Texas Two men who once attended church together were charged Sunday with intentionally burning down a church in east Texas and are suspected in a string of similar blazes, authorities said."

Someone following Christ's teaching would never do arson. So, logically, one would assume it is a Godless person.
Apparently TK has never heard of religious sectarianism before.
Also, I have the disturbing feeling that, if the object of the crime had been an abortion clinic, either TK would be perfectly fine with it, or, more likely, he simply wouldn't be commenting on it at all.
Most church vandalism would be the act of a disgruntled parishoner, outside church on church violence which is probably rare in Alaska. There is a chance it's a random act of destruction but I think it's more likely a grudge offense.
We'll never know unless there's a public confession, both the police and church will consider it an "in house" problem to be handled by the church and never publically exposed.
Two fold reason:
So they can keep the "evil Atheist" charade going.
So they can keep the "Good Christian" charade going.
What happens in the church stays in the church, in America with full support from the law.
Confused?
