To say that the Obama syndicate is the most corrupt and criminal in US history is to minimize what it is actually doing. Obama and his band of Marxist-Leninist marauders are doing no less than overthrowing the country — and they have been affecting it since they usurped power. As I have been writing for years now, the Obama regime is completely lawless. Yet, Congress has done little to nothing to stop him. Instead, its members strongly seem to have joined him in his efforts. Unless we rid ourselves of all of the traitors — on both sides of the aisle — and place strict Constitutionalists in office the USA will not be revived. And until we remember and again openly recognize who placed us here, We-the-People will continue to be even more forcibly enslaved. It is what it is.

So being elected by the majority is usurping power (by the way you can't usurp in a democracy, you usurp dictators and monarchs). Not to mention even from Australia I can see how the other side has done everything it can to stop Obama doing anything to save America and his own side has been upset that he has been so willing to deal with the other side.
"And until we remember and again openly recognize who placed us here," First amendment...Treaty of Tripoli. And all your evidence is just as strong as all the other religions evidence that they are the right one. And by strong I mean not very at all.

Yes. Obama is quite the little Marxist. I suppose our first sign should have been January 21, 2009. After waking up from his party, he began issuing the orders. The confiscation of personal property was intolerable. The way he ordered the National Guard to take over the churches and steal their wealth was horrific. The way he took down Wall Street and the banks, pillaging all the money from them staggers the mind. When he nationalized the auto industry, (which to this day, he still runs from the Oval Office), Comrade Obama really let the red flag fly. Of course, the real kicker was when he took control of all means of production in the country and turned them over to the workers.
And we the people had no way to fight back, since Obama had taken all the guns away.
Oh, wait. We're talking about the same Obama that couldn't even get the public option on health care passed, right?
@Raised by Horses.
I was wondering how I would celebrate Rapture v2 this Friday.
Sher, put down your bottle, hitch up your skirt and grow up.
If you were even half as enslaved as you think you are, then you would have been arrested on January 21, 2009.
And is this Congress which unilaterally supports Obama the same Congress as the one which blocks every single thing that Obama or another Democrat proposes? Not even a conservative can be this stupid, therefore, you must be knowingly and deliberately lying.
"Yet, Congress has done little to nothing to stop him. Instead, its members strongly seem to have joined him in his efforts."
"Congress has done little to nothing to stop him."
"little to nothing to stop him."
What.
@Raised by Horses
Awww, crap. I can't play the drinking game! I have HUS, which means for all intents and purposes I'm allergic to alcohol.
Maybe if we swapped the booze out with cusswords, or facepalm/heddesk/etc, or punching/stabbing/biting/burning/kicking/etc...
"Finally, Americans are getting affordable health care, gays are being given more rights, and children are being taught about the theory of evolution! It's only a matter of time before the US implodes!"
"But, Mister President, how exactly will this destroy America?"
"Shut up! You just don't understand politics!"
@Flah
Hell, I WISH we were that far along, but we aren't. Evolution is laughably underrepresented in schools, health care still has some kinks(credit, the administration IS trying to fix some of them, but still), and gays still can't marry in most states.
And try as he might, making the rich actually contribute their fair share to society still eludes El Presidente.
@ Doubting Thomas: "OK, name just one illegal thing that Obama has done since he took office."
Ordered the assassination of an American citizen without due process of law.
@dfmfundies
Ordered the assassination of an American citizen without due process of law.
OK, who exactly would this be, and why?
The guy who was tooling around with Al-Queda bombers? It would be hard for you to pick a worse example.
It looks like the administration went through all the official channels to get him declared an unlawful combatant.
@ zipperback
"The guy who was tooling around with Al-Queda bombers?"
You don't know that, because the administration has not deigned to produce evidence of that.
"It would be hard for you to pick a worse example."
Actually, no. Civil rights have to be defended for all, especially those accused of the worst crimes. If you deny civil rights to those, then no one's rights are safe.
"It looks like the administration went through all the official channels to get him declared an unlawful combatant."
He was an American citizen. He had a right to a trial by jury. Obama illegally deprived him of that right.
If the assassination stands unchallenged, then the precedent is set for the killing of any American, anywhere, for any reason or none at all, without due process, on the say-so of one man. No president - no person - should have that power.
The reason is probably that al-Awlaki's deeds classified as "treason" (the whole "aid and comfort" element). The problem is whether you can try someone for that in absentia (whether or not extradition is going to be difficult).
My mother has pointed out an attribution to Siddhartha Buddha. He was given the example of being on a ship, and knowing that one of the passengers intended to kill another three; what should one do? The Buddha's response: "Kill him to save the others; worry about karma later." Personally, I'd be looking for a way to bind the would-be murderer up; all four live, and the assassin gets a chance to repent of his plan. (In al-Kawairi's case? Flood his place with sleep gas. Shouldn't be too hard to make him extraditable after that...) But I guess the point is that in a scenario of urgency, one can't always afford to look to much of ethics or morality beyond "protect the greater number". Have fun convincing the average person (of any political alignment) that they must be allowed to get killed, or at least allowed to be at risk of getting killed, by the enemy for the sake of the law; they'll likely consider that inverting master and servant.
Although...how much of the urgency is real, and how much a phantasm of fear and stress? That part is rather fuzzy...
EDIT: In the problem posed to the Buddha, it's pretty obvious that the one who could stop the killings has absolute knowledge that it will go through otherwise. In al-Kawairi's case, I wonder what we DO know about besides him galvanizing al-Qaeda's morale/extolling recruitment. (i.e. Are the definitions of "aid and comfort" stricter than that? It DOES sound like comfort, admittedly...)
@ Noneofyourbusiness: The "mass deaths of American citizens" is entirely your delusion. That's your strawman.
There's no slippery slope fallacy here because no slippery slope argument was made. My argument was and is that no president should have the power to order an assassination of an American citizen without due process of law. That's the point you're missing.
Usurped power?, sorry, since when is winning the elections usurping power?. And were you living in a cave when the country almost collapsed because the tea party didn´t want to change the limit of the debt?, are you really sure the congress is such a pussy.
Confused?
