Fourth, by what egregious stretch of logic could his death be called martyrdom? Martyrs are men and women of God who are killed for refusing to abandon their faith in Him.
Fuck. You. Martyrs are those who die for an ideal. Maybe Matthew doesn't fit this ideal, but:
a.) Sure as fuck, he fits it better than the thugs who killed him, and
b.) It is NOT something intrinsically religious.
