"The sheer irony, that these Frepers want to see America turned into China(A dictatorial state where freedom is only the most thinly veiled illusion and the government has total control over everything, including population), but at the same time all too eager to say China is an evil place. "
That's because China doesn't have Jebus.
"A glass parking lot? That's how you envision the result of several multi megaton hydrogen exposions in the Middle East? Let me guess, in your scenario the radiation only affects those of the Muslim faith and the fallout is carried no farther than the borders of the offending countries right?"
Actually, the US doesn't actually have this capability. It could pretty much wreck the Middle East, but an actual 'glassing' would require either many more warheads or much more powerful ones. He's probably planning on using THE POWER OF GOD anyways.
"I'm getting the feeling that you are an ignorant traitorous wretch that would collaberate with the highest bidder if it meant it would save your own skin."
Scarily enough, probably not. (Ignorant Wretch, however)
"That in NO WAY makes them as bad like the Muslim fundies in theocracies in the middle east."
Well, they just want to be as bad as the Muslim theocrazies, but can't, because the thin wall of sanity is still holding them back.
"When faced with the possible threat that the Iraqis might be amassing terrible weapons that could be used to slay millions of citizens of Western Civilization, President Bush took the only action prudence demanded and the electorate allowed: he conquered Iraq with an army. "
This might be valid, if it weren't total bullshit. And if Bush didn't KNOW it was total bullshit. Also, there is almost no chance Saddam could have gotten weapons that could 'slay millions of citizens of Western Civilization'. (Atomic bombs are, in fact, overrated. Hydrogen bombs are really hard to make.) Also, note the use of 'Citizens of Western Civilization' as if it means something. Try looking up 'Western Civilization' on a map some day. You won't find it. The term is basically nonsensical, and has been for quite some time.
"The wisest course would have been for President Bush to use his nuclear weapons to slaughter Iraqis until they complied with his demands, or until they were all dead."
Wow. Wow. You don't see this very often. If by 'wisest' you mean 'stupidest', then you might be right. Between America, and the rest of the world - don't kid yourselves. We might be the strongest, but there's a lot of rest of the world. I wouldn't bet on America. (Actually, the stakes are pretty poor for the whole world).
"The simple truth that modern weapons now mean a nation must practice genocide or commit suicide."
I'm very, very, glad this guy wasn't anywhere near in charge during the Cold War. Besides, this isn't remotely true. There comes a point when weapons reach such a level of mass destruction that to use them is so heinous that it will immediately provoke a response from everyone else (every country that has nuclear weapons - especially with long-range deployment options is a potential severe threat to the entire world. A country that demonstrates it is actually willing to use them (especially for no good reason) is an immediate threat to the entire world.
"If the Israelis do not raze Iran, the Iranians will fulfill their boast and wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Yet Israel is not popular, and so is denied permission to defend itself."
I can only assume this character's bloodlust blinds him to the obvious fact that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DESTROY ENTIRE CIVILIZATIONS TO DEFEAT THE BAD GUY(S) IN CHARGE. This is so obvious, you'd think nobody would fail to understand. Assuming that the Iranians will, as he says, eventually make good on their threat, that does not imply that Israel's only option is a preemtive BDZ. It's probably the worst option, as everyone else would immediately stomp them (and there are, in fact, non-nuke involving ways of doing that). However, Israel could neutralize the threat either temporarily by denying them their ability to launch weapons, or permanently by instituting regime change through any number of methods - the problem may even solve itself as Iran's politics change.
As for Israel not being popular, if any mideast country did some of the things it has, they would be almost universaly reviled (like, say most are).
"By elevating popular fancy over truth, Democracy is clearly an enemy of not just truth, but duty and justice, which makes it the worst form of government. President Bush must overcome not just the situation in Iraq, but democratic government."
What are you, Plato's evil twin?
"Caesar pacified Gaul by mass slaughter."
Err, no he didn't. He pacified Gaul by defeating its leaders and installing friendly ones, as well as political measures that ingratiated the Gauls to Rome. Though Rome (and ergo most Romans) at that time had a bit of a sadistic streak, it very different from an Exterminatus (like the one practiced at Carthage.)
"...he then used his successful army to crush all political opposition at home and establish himself as permanent ruler of ancient Rome."
Problem one. If Bush tried this, it'd end (very quickly) in his arrest. Bush has no army. He's Commander in Chief of the armed forces, yes - armed forces sworn to defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Very different from legions raised, paid by, and loyal to Julius Caesar. (Not to mention soldiers tend to follow their field commanders, not staff officers, in the event of a coup.
"This brilliant action not only ended the personal threat to Caesar..."
Did it really?
"...but ended the civil chaos that was threatening anarchy in ancient Rome thus marking the start of the ancient Roman Empire that gave peace and prosperity to the known world."
Okay, the Roman Republic was corrupt at its end. Very corrupt. And it was never a democracy, but an oligarchy. Taxes were out of control (Beyond the initial taxes, senators could keep whatever the gathered in their provinces), and it had become the ultimate welfare state.
The 'Pax Romana', as it is called, refered to a lack of new conquests. It was not actually very peaceful (did you think they kept sending armies to this province or that for their health? - the period before the decline of the Republic was actually more peaceful.
"If President Bush copied Julius Caesar by ordering his army to empty Iraq of Arabs and repopulate the country with Americans, he would achieve immediate results:"
Well, he would recieve immediate results, in the form of a mass WHAT THE FUCK!?! from the rest of the world, the American people, and for that matter, the troops (One nice thing about people is that after being trained for years about all the 'Rule of Engagement' and what not, they're unlikely to scrap them in a day.
"popularity with his military; enrichment of America by converting an Arabian Iraq into an American Iraq (therefore turning it from a liability to an asset); and boost American prestiege while terrifying American enemies."
"Boost American Prestige"? What strange world are you living in that genocide boosts anyone's prestige, no matter how cool the weapons you do it with are? It would, in fact terrify American enemies... and (ex) allies, and neutral parties into starting World War III.
Seriously, where do they find these people. Why hasn't he been arrested for treason (he is, in fact, plotting to overthrow the government)? Oh, right... that pesky Democracy. (I doubt the FBI/NSA/etc, doesn't watch these people, though - in fact, there's probably an agency (scratch that - several agencies) that do nothing but watch for potential coups) Do these people somehow not realize that if they succeeded in doing what they want, they'd get killed for doing it?
