I *think* he's talking about Mitochondrial Eve (and maybe some kind of universal y-chromosone ancestor?). He seems to think that has some sort of greater significance.
Damned if I can tell what that is, though...

..."You didn't evolve in your mom's stomach"? Well, of course not. I didn't even grow in her stomach; I grew in her womb - you know, the specialized organ that "grew in" (or evolved) expressly for that purpose in mammals.

the "adam" and "eve" mentioned in studies of dna are not what you think, they for example lived at widely different times and there would be no difference between Eve and her sisters (and a group of other women - all with the same mitochondrial dna) and no differnce between Adam and a bunch of men with the same Y chromosome.
They are NOT the ultimate mother and father of our species.
