We believe, according to logic and common sense that, the reason for us being in the grave, that, there is something to come. Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?

Entropy, biological degradation, shortening of telomeres, cellular mistakes stocking up... For the same reasons there are no bacteria or mosquito or rat heaven, there's no human heaven.
So this is why dogs are alive?

Funny, your lot and the Xtians are always telling us that animals don't have souls.
Dying is a mere end of your life. There is no continues and only one life. Life is hard. Ball-bustingly hard. Very unfair, too. You will die eventually, from everything ranging from simply having a bad spawn point to the secret stage with the best boss fight ever.
Want another go? Fuck you, you are dead.
Under that logic, fire must go to heaven as soon as it's extinguished.
We die because of cellular degradation. When a cell multiplies, its copies are imperfect. After 80+ years of this, the body finally breaks down and we die. There is no greater purpose to death, just as there is no greater purpose to life. Something doesn't need to have a specific purpose in order to exist.

If there's something to come, why not stay alive to experience it better?
Translation:
I'm afraid to die, so I make myself feel better by saying there's something better afterwards.
Actually, that could be the definition of religion.
"We believe, according to logic and common sense..."
No. When it comes to belief there is no logic involved. And common sense is vastly over rated.
"...that, the reason for us being in the grave, that, there is something to come."
Just because you believe something doesn't make it true. Try believing you can fly, then walk off a cliff - see if it helps.
"Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?"
We don't have a choice. Stand in front of a bus and choose not to die.
"Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?"
So there are dogs and cats in heaven? Also the mosquitos and flies you killed, they're all waiting for you in heaven? And what about bacteria and fungus?
Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?
Because everything ends, nothing escapes entropy indefinitely. How is it that logic and common sense could lead you to the opposite conclusion? Everything else in the world that is alive dies sooner or later, often sooner rather than later, and any sense that humanity is or should be immune from death is pure fantasy. To think that because death happens that there must be something beyond that is simply wishful thinking based in a fear of both mortality and the unknown
"We believe, according to logic and common sense that,"
Don't you mean "We believe according to speculation and wishful thinking"?
"the reason for us being in the grave, that, there is something to come."
Yes. It's called decomposition.
"Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?"
Entropy. Everything dies/breaks down/falls apart eventually.
And next time go easy on the commas. The rest of us might like to use some too.
Why would we die? It's not like we get a choice. But frankly, I wouldn't want to be 500 years old, senile, and crapping in my pants for the past 420 years.
But wishing for an afterlife doesn't mean that we wouldn't die if there wasn't one.
Because our telomeres get shorter with each replication of a cell, and after a certain point our cells quit dividing. Then the last cells get old and can't keep us going anymore. Then we die.
Because our bodies can't handle a disease we contract and it overwhelms the body. Then we die.
Because we get an injury that causes us to bleed out because the body can't seal up a hole that's too big. Because we can't absorb oxygen from water with our lungs and we drown. Because we get trapped in a space with no air and we run out of oxygen?
Basically, our bodies fail due to any of a variety of natural causes.
What planet is your logic and common sense from?
Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?
It came and it went, and you missed it. It was called "life". You had just the one, but weren't satisfied with that, no, you wanted a better one that lasts forever, so you wasted the real one wishing for the dream.
Ever hear the Shel Silverstein song, "I got stoned and I missed it"?
Because our bodies wore out? Because if we didn't die there'd be no room for the next generation?
Really, the stupidity behind their answers on why there has to be a god.... fuck.
All human being will eventually, without exception, die
After they die, they place they go is MU (Nothingness)

funny, I have a theory that is such a thing as god existed it's a fair bet there would be no death. the fact that we age and die is one of the greatest proofs of evolution.
think about it, with out the cycle of reproduction that all living things go through (birth, reproduction, death) there would be no evolution. and in a sense a non aging life form would be almost impossible to evolve naturally. it would lack at least one of the key steps to evolution.
without aging the population would swarm out of control to fast, there would be a population crash and likely even extinction.
without reproduction and the birth of new generations the entire process of evolution stops.
unless it happened randomly by some freak mutation all in one generation it would never happen. the only way for a truly unaging life form to come to be is through design. and I can honestly think of no reason why a god would invent death, let alone be able to even understand the concept.
“Because if there is nothing to come, why would we die?”
If there’s no food, why do we hunger?
If there’s no exit from the fire, why do we panic?
Even things with a purpose don’t always get the desired result.
Confused?
