[Regarding FSTDT.com]
If we ever countered with "Atheistic Liberalosers Say The Stupidest Things", it would require a separate Internet to handle the volume. Those idiots have been posting that list for a couple of years, no doubt for the benefit of the marching morons of the left who don't dare to come to VRWC sites for fear of being converted.
One supposes that there is a one-syllable-word version for the liberal intellectuals.
Inasmuch as the one or two libs at that Web liberaloony asylum who can actually read surf conservative BBs looking for things to post, here's my response to their useless site. I do hope that they accept in the spirit in which it is offered.

Um, I believe the actual Homer quote is, "Kiss my big curvy white ass".
If you're gonna quote the H-man, get it right! Doh!
Doctor Doom, it's been done.
It was called Village Athiests Say the Darndest Things and it's been defunct since early 2004. So much for needing a separate Internet.
But hey, if you want, bring it on. I look forward to the rampant success of ALSTDT!
Words fail me...So I decided to steal some from internet humourist Seanbaby:
"Internet forums bring out the worst of humanity: stupid irrational egomaniacs telling each other how much they hate everything. Getting bothered by it is like reading 'FUCK YOU' on a bathroom wall and saying, 'Fuck ME!? H-how DARE they!!'"
I really just can't get over the, "it would require a separate Internet to handle the volume" part.
One, just simply because this guy thinks that there is a limit to how much the internet can hold. And two, because of how ironic it is that if they did create another internet, no one would be able to get to it.
>>So wait, they didn't know about the site until now?<<
Yea, they are a little slow. It is funny that Charity links everyone to some stalking state law sites, but obviously didn't read them, because all the ones i looked at required a threat of bodily harm/death.
It makes me sad - my membership on that board still hasn't been approved yet. They'd love me. I'm a vet, I'm a registered Republican who has -always- voted a straight ticket since I was old enough to vote. I'm socially and fiscally conservative.
However, I take a very dim view of the way that most of my fellow Republicans and conservatives are acting, these days.
The bit about requiring a "separate Internet" just shows his total ignorance of technology. Shouldn't be surprised, really, as he's ignorant of just about everything else too.
Besides, it's been tried. It just doesn't work that well, because there's very little self-evidently stupid material you'll get out of atheists. Yeah, you'll get some from the way-far-out nutcases, but even then, they're generally not as amusing (or disturbing, as the case may be) as the stuff you'll find here.
<<< Charity is right. This is a hate filled site. After all it quotes her. >>>
Touche. If you count the posts quoted on here, there's plenty of hate. Then again, since they're being held up to ridicule, they probably shouldn't count against us. (Yeah, there's the occasional nutcase who's just as bad as they are - Francois, for one. But I think they still "win" on both quantity and quality.)
Wow, they are really working themselves up into a lather over at Free Conservatives! I'd like to know how many of them have actually read any quotes posted here. That Charity guy is tickling my funny bone the most---he is whining that posting his comments here is a breach of "intellectual property", and he demands all of his original material be removed, OR ELSE, LOLOL. HAHA. It really is a pitiful spectacle what is going on in that thread.
Yea, basically, anything posted on completly public domains, is not subject to copyright laws. So, I guess we have another subject matter in which most fundies are ignorant: law. Hrm... that seems kind of scary.
I am glad that there are people arguing for us in there, other than Yahweh. Nice D&D reference on that thread btw, but, I think you should have summoned a UFO.
What amuses me most is that ALL namecalling (girlfriend, sweetie don't qualify, at least in my book; and "bastards" was directed at "we", though ironically) came from them, but "we" started a flamewar? *chuckle*
That reaction to that little card/fight game was quite telling. As well as the posts Apollo5600 just made. They should start to act their age.
<<< That Charity guy is tickling my funny bone the most---he is whining that posting his comments here is a breach of "intellectual property", and he demands all of his original material be removed, OR ELSE, LOLOL. HAHA >>>
Wow, in just two words he manages to be wrong twice. There's nothing "intellectual" about any material that got quoted here, and as for it being his "property", it technically is, but we are well within our fair use rights to quote it here.
Someone should point out to them that even the people at Theology Web laugh at them, since a few of their posts were nominated for "Screwball of the month" in the Tektonics forum over there. (I think that it was in Oct?)
On a more serious note, is it possible that the reason that the FreeConservatives people moved their forum to a Members only sectino is so that they can try to claim that their statements are no longer public property?
To think I actually tried to have decent debates on that site. I was called names and was the butt of a few jokes yet I still maintained my composure. Eventually, by my own will, I stopped posting there because of the ignorance and blatant, accepted racism. 99% of the posters there do not act like christians, they're just 3rd grade, retarded, hicks.
Teenager - obviously he's being sarcastic about the separate internet bit ...
But Doc Doom is far too much of a sanctimonious prick for us to really let anything he says pass un-made-fun-of.
(Admittedly, though, this one probably doesn't belong here as an example of "fundie-ism." It's just sheer comic relief.)
(But seriously, have you read through some of the other things we've collected that he's said? I mean, just LOOK at some of them. Context or not, they're pretty fucked up.)
I love Doctor Doom!
I'm pretty sure he doesn't even buy his own shit.He sits around waiting for someone to say something vaguely left wing so he can insult the hell out of them, and then he'll come out with an outrageous attention-grabber like they should nuke Canada to get rid of the liberals.Seriously the man's either a complete sociopath or (much more likely) a Grade A+ attention whore.
That was the most ...
Words fail me regarding that thread.
Then, when they couldn't back up the claims made by Yah... he gets banned. That's a GREAT display of maturity and christian (tm) love on their part.
Awesome responses, Yah!
I -adore- FSTDT!
>In a thread about Torture Warlady said that "Christ said 'an eye for an eye'<
who is it who takes quotes out of context? Here Jesus was negating it, and proposed turning the other cheek.
But the Pharisees took things out of context all the time, like 'eye for eye', which was not intended to justify personal revenge, but rather an admonition to judges not to be too lenient or too harsh
Kathleen, these are just a selection of the best (or worst, depending on your point of view) quotes from various boards.
Yes, there -are- people like this.
But in the end of all this, if we want people to respect our opinions we have to respect ours. Just because what someone says on a forum doesnt mean they're going out into the mainstream and saying it. We shouldn't so much attack the comments, especially from those who love to appear on here
<<< But in the end of all this, if we want people to respect our opinions we have to respect [theirs]. >>>
Bullshit. I cannot and will not respect the opinion of someone who says "kill 'em all and let God sort them out" (yes, there is at least one post here that says exactly that), or someone who says that gays should be executed, or that the US should be a theocracy.
I can respect their right to have an opinion, so long as 1) they respect my right to think their opinion isn't worth a pair of dingo's kidneys, and 2) they don't attempt to enforce their opinion on others (naturally, this is a bit difficult in the cases where they think their way should be law). But I will not respect the opinions themselves when those opinions are silly, batshit insane, sickening, etc.
As I recall they tried to do something like that once.
It got all of, what, 8 posts in it?
Why the hell is he using Homer Simpson to make fun of Liberals, atheists and agnostics?
Funny how he belittles our intelligence three rows above that.
From Wikipedia regarding the creator of Simpsons:
"Matt Groening identifies himself as agnostic and a liberal and has often made campaign contributions to Democratic Party candidates."
Not to invoke ad hominem, but I feel Doomy deserves it.
Doctor Doom is a prat with the smallest penis ever.
Don't be a pussy, don't just threaten us with creating such a site, FUCKING CREATE IT. You couldn't gather as much bigotry from atheists BTW than as we do from you fundies (though there ARE atheist bigots, even at this site.)
Still, YOU FAIL.
“If we ever countered with "Atheistic Liberalosers Say The Stupidest Things", it would require a separate Internet to handle the volume.”
No, sweetie. Christofascist attempts to make a pro-Christain version of anything is doomed to failure. You’re not being original by definition, and you’re more concerned with ‘countering’ than you are with an original effort.
"no doubt for the benefit of the marching morons of the left who don't dare to come to VRWC sites for fear of being converted.”
Yes, yes, that’s entirely why. I am SO afraid of believing in God because angry, self-important believers tell me to.
Which is why we post quotes of angry, Self-important believers telling me to believe in god…
That’s logic, there.
“One supposes that there is a one-syllable-word version for the liberal intellectuals.”
Bible says revilers are going to Hell, so see you there.
“my response… “Kiss my Ass"
Oh, yeah, that’s a refutation.
Certainly puts us in our place and shows your iltellectual superiority.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
