There is no possibility of salvation apart from Christ. I see no indication that God 'communicates' with certain people who haven't heard the gospel in order that they can be saved. All men are sinners against God--He owes them nothing. If they go to Hell, it is a result of their sin, so God is still just.

This is why, even though I take no position regarding the existence or nonexistence of this flavor of the Christian god, I can feel confident and morally right in my declaration of absolute war against such a deity. Either dude changes his mind, or dude has to go down.
You guys love to compare God with design:
If an engineer designs a product that kills people, there's sure to be some kind of consequence for him.
God created man, ergo he's responsble for his creations' inherent failures.
My faith weakens further still.
In humanity's defense, why in the world is eating an apple so horrific that all descendents of the perpetrators are doomed to hell for all of eternity unless we are "saved". (Yes, God told them no, but isn't it just... I don't know... HORRIFICALLY, UNIMAGINALLY EXTREME?!?)
I might be a better Christian if it weren't for the "Problem of Hell" (as described be Wikipedia) and the concept of "Original Sin." The only reason I still go to church sometimes is because the particular church I go to is quite loving and is good for my spiritual health.
Here's the thing:
You have to show us at least something that proves people that HAVE heard the word of the gospel are morally benevolant in any way.
Haven't seen any evidence of that, not even equaling secular law and charity. You guys talk like you're doing something good or decent or special but you fail statistically and in real terms a lot.
Christian charity statistially has one strong point: the church gets richer. Secular charity has one strong statistic: the charity provides charity to the cause.
You wanna explain this huge problem? Cause I can. We don't need more churches, more priests, more Dogma or bullshit. The money has to go to the cause.
Live Aid did more for world hunger and human rights violation than ALL churches have ever done.
I see no indication that God 'communicates' with certain people who have heard the gospel either.
Sure God ows them; he created them with a tendency to sin. He's infallible, according to you, ergo he must have meant to create people sinfull.
What about all women, btw?
He's right, you know. You sinned against Me for eating the Fruit from the Tree I put right in the middle of the Garden because...I don't remember why. But, I still maintain that it was a good idea to leave no barriers between you and the one thing I told you never to do.
@God I made them do it, because I realised the true potential of Humanity, and wanted them to be free, whereas you would lock them in the Garden as stupid Animals blindly feeding you with their devotion forever.
Confused?
