One more thing - as for the women who died from back alley abortions -
First of all - the best research has been able to show is that in the 20 years prior to Roe V Wade was that there were only 14 deaths of women from such procedures.
Second - justifying killing a living human being the 'nice way' so that the mother's don't die too makes as much sense as legalizing pedophilia because if they are going to do it any way why shouldn't it be legal so it can at least be regulated.

Citation needed.

False analogy. You FAIL.
1. Oh, 14? Well, that's not that many </sarcasm>
Good job valuing human life stupid.
2. That would be a logical argument if there was a way to do pedophilia without traumatizing children. Abortion is a safe medical operation that in some cases is necessary to save lives. Pedophilia is just a crime. Totally different.

You know what I would really love to see? A citation.
...killing a living human being the 'nice way' so that the mother's don't die... Begging the question.
...makes as much sense as legalizing pedophilia... False analogy.
A compound fallacy! Well done!
Another so-called christian going straight to hell for violating the 9th commandment.
Essentially no-one knows the numbers - because no-one was keeping track. Would you report a death from an *illegal* operation you were performing (hint: another word for that is murder)? Or would you just dump the body?
Even the CDC didn't keep stats until 1972.
However the 'best research' indicates a possible upper limit of 10,000 deaths from illegal abortions...
"First of all - the best research has been able to show is that in the 20 years prior to Roe V Wade was that there were only 14 deaths of women from such procedures."
OPTION 1: 78% of statistics are made up on the spot.
OPTION 2: [citation needed]
First of all, [CITATION NEEDED].
Second, that comparison is *really* stretching it. Abortion doesn't hurt a living, breathing child. Pedophilia does.
I bet Ruth is one of the morons who refers to zygotes as 'children' and 'little innocent babies'.
When someone says things like 'studies have found' or 'the best research has shown' without giving citations, it generally means the person is making up their stats and hasn't a clue what they're on about.
Foetus fetishists should just be honest and admit they couldn't give a flying fuck about women who die from abortions or pregnancy/birth complications. 'Pro-life' indeed.
Funny to see death cultists pretending they care about 'life'. It just proves to me that they care about controlling women, and nothing more.
I agree partly with this fundie. Saying that something must be legal because it doesn't really matter if it's legal or not, because people would do it anyway, is a stupid argument. Of course comparing pedophilia and abortion is really stupid, especially when it is done in such a ridiculous way.
Some of the world\'s highest abortion rates are found in countries which restrict or ban abortions altogether. Do some research. As with most everything else, prohibition doesn\'t work.
Also, where did you get your statistics regarding the death rates from illegal abortions?
From Wikipedia, ". . . according to the 2000 estimates (WHO), 19 million unsafe abortions take place each year. According to WHO, approximately 68,000 women die annually as a result of complications of unsafe abortion; and between two million and seven million women each year survive unsafe abortion but sustain long-term damage or disease . . ."
Funny, I had no trouble in finding the figure to be 39 women in ONE year before it was legalized, and that's in the USA. It was more like 68,000 women world-wide. But you aren't considering the alternative. Eight times as many women die from childbirth as die from an abortion. And without an abortion, that dangerous process is the only way out of a pregnancy.
Confused?
