Fine. Forget ancient texts (other than the Bible), pottery, architecture, coins, carvings, cave paintings, every other man made artifact, and radiometric dating. I'll even allow a point for not saying "carbon dating".
One is still left with tree rings, ice cores, and other records of annual deposits. Even with the strictest interpretation of the data, other than by fundies with a mental limit of 6-10,000 years, one is left with a minimum history of several hundred-thousand years.
When one calibrates mineralogical formations, again with no dependence on radiometric dating and no science beyond counting lines, one can form a strong case for a age of several hundred-million years.
No sane person with a high school diploma, and/or internet access, should be able to conclude the Earth is less than 10,000 years old. And no sane person should be unable to accept the existence of records which predate the Bible when one considers the Bible itself IS A HISTORICAL RECORD! I'm pretty sure that the Bible never claims to be the first written record.
Gawd! These people are effing stupid!!!
