Yeah, as if atheists aren't the pinnacle of arrogance. Wait..they are, that's why they remain slaves to sin.

This is my canned response to stupidity like this that I wrote in my blog. I think it applies nicely to nearly every claim of Atheist arrogance:
"You claim to have a personal, loving relationship with the omnipotent, omniscient creator of reality. You claim that he speaks to you and makes your life better while allowing millions of children to starve to death.
You claim that in the vastness of the Universe, humanity is somehow special, even though it occupies an unimaginably small fraction of the Universe.
You are the one who claims that he will live forever in an eternal paradise, even though we have clear evidence that thought, consciousness and memory is directly linked to the activity of our physical brains.
You claim to have a book with absolute knowledge and absolute truth.
You make all these claims without a shred of real evidence, yet I'm the arrogant one?"
Fell free to use it as you wish.
To presume that somebody you can´t see, is going to punish everybody who doesn´t agree with you with something not proved to exist is arrogant, is for me as credible as the fact that the world is flat.
You're the ones who think you're special enough that your magical god will listen your prayers for petty concerns like doing well on a math test, or guarding you from bad dreams. You're the ones who think you're going to go live in a magic fairy kingdom forever after you die, while everyone else burns in torment.
Hold on....
We believe (apparently) that we came from monkeys and that there's no point in life.
You guys believe that the universe was created by a special invisible god, just for us. And that we're the most important things on earth and that when we die (as long as we do exactly what you say) we get to go and sit in paradise for eternity, next to this deity who loves us dearly.
All this without a scrap of evidence.
And WE'RE arrogant?
We aren't arrogant...well, at least a lot of us aren't. Just like how there are a lot of arrogant Christians running about. However, I have met a lot of nice Christians. I guess it just depends on who it is and how they were raised. Just because we aren't part of your club doesn't make us arrogant.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
