There likely are many, several, and different purposes.
One seems to me to be 'the call'....(from whom?) to be different from what is obvious
re sexuality, and to do this at a very young age.

For example, I seem to remember when children did not think about sexuality
but rather PLAYED, and played games, and played OUTSIDE.

It seems that TV, video games, being inside, not being active, not being outside
has led to a much SOFTER individual whose purpose is EASY LIVING.

By 'easy living', I mean doing WHATEVER to keep their life easy, becoming
deceptive if needs be, and refusing any laws restricting what they wish to do.

They become lawbreakers.

Obviously, there are many groups and not one explanation fits all.

The end result will be a divorce from who they are....a split, so then flipping from
one way to another will be easy for them....if the shoe fits.
