[On the Hindu prayer story]
This yogi has no business addressing the senate. He's free to practice his Hinduism in the privacy of his home.

Correct. Substitute 'Christian' for 'Yogi' and 'Christianity' for 'Hinduism' and it's still true.
@Flipper ROFLMFAO that was the best comment i've read all year
@TheSumOfAllPhilosophy Oh yes I have seen The 2 hour Bohemian Grove video on google video. Everyone here should see it, its amazingly informative about fundamental conservative christian leaders and the lies they live.
Matthew 6:5-6
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Why don't you heed the words of your Messiah?
Berny: "Why don't you heed the words of your Messiah?"
You're assuming fundies are christians. However, they are not very christ-like and don't follow what Jesus supposedly said. Instead, they are more like Paulists. (Actually, more like the Pharisees.)
Anyway, here's what Paul said about prayer:
1 Timothy, 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
And you should home when you discuss your religion, praying in a closet, but you don't listen to your own book.
NO religion has any business leading a prayer in the senate. Maybe this story will finally bring this into the light where it can be studied and done away with all together.
...However that would be a double standard.
Keeping that in mind, if we prevent him from addressing the senate, and force him to only practice in his own home, the same should apply to you and your fellows.
So if your still interested in removing his rights to absolute freedom of religion, let me know as I'm finding this double standard game to be pretty old.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
