[Irony you could cut with a knife]
What amazes me is how often people reject scientific evidence because it does not confirm their flimsy beliefs. Maybe 100 years from now people will wake up and see what is going on here. When the evidence is so overwelming that they can no longer ignore and disregard it. I know what to look for because I have read and studied the Bible. People who do not read and study their Bible, do not know what to look for.

The moment you allow science to be guided by religion (or any other set of preconceived notions that you refuse to discard), it ceases to be science.
"Death by Irony Overdose" Award nomination seconded, but feel free to hold off on giving it out; we have a long month of fundyism still ahead of us.

You know, once I thought about it for a moment, I think I realize what JohnR7 was trying to say and just didn't say it right. And I actually have to agree. Since I rejected religion and became an atheist about 20 years ago, I have actually read and studied the Bible in more depth than I did when I was a "Christian." And now that I have done that, I better understand what it says and know about the parts that they don't teach you in Sunday School. I can compare it to what science has to say and recognize the "BuyBull" for what it is; a fairytale made up by ignorant, backward, unknowing, and unscientific people that had no other way to explain things than "God did it."
At least that is what I see in his statement and am willing to cut him some slack and give him the "benefit of the doubt" (pun intended)

Yes, I, too, am amazed at that. Religious persons do this all the time. It's truly ridiculous.

Don't bet on it.
"When the evidence is so overwelming that they can no longer ignore and disregard it."
Christians have been ignoring overwhelming evidence against their beliefs for 2000 years, why would they stop in the next 100 years?
"I know what to look for because I have read and studied the Bible.
Me too.

I agree that people should read their Bibles more, so they can see how silly it is and how good science is in comparison.

:) (Oh, the irony.)
Most people have already waken up and seen what's going on here. You obviously haven't Johnny. The evidence is so overwhelmingly in favor of science over the Bible, no sane person can ignore and disregard it any longer.
The Bible is the very epitome of "flimsy belief", stupid.
JohnR7s scientific evidence?
The Bible and the blind faith to accept it as fact.
"People who do not read and study their Bible, do not know what to look for."
And people who read it sometimes read things into it that aren't there.
Confused?
