This just sounds to me like athiests trying desperately to preserve their anti-Christian fairytale that we apparently evolved from apes. if we really evolved from apes, then we would basically be the same species as apes, but we're more evolved, eh? so we would be able to empregnate them. Simple as that. Black people can empregnate white people, chinese people can empregnate arabs, border collies can empregnate poodles, but why can't people empregnate monkeys? Because we did NOT evolve from apes. No atheist can convince me. Maybe if someone fucks a monkey and gets it pregnant, maybe i will believe the fairytale of evolution.

1. What has interbreeding got to do with evolution anyway?
In ring species, A can interbreed with B can interbreed with C can interbreed with D, but D can't interbreed with A. So is D the same species as A or not?
2. We are not more evolved than apes, we are as evolved as apes.
3. According to The Scientist
@The Scientist
Ancient human and chimps mixed.
Findings of interbreeding could help broaden conventional thinking regarding origins of species.
The ancestors of humans and chimpanzees may have interbred and exchanged significant numbers of genes after the initial split between the species, scientists report in the May 17 online edition of Nature.
The findings could help rethink mainstream thought during the origin of species "by suggesting there can be a quite of bit of exchange as species emerge and diverge," James Mallet at University College London, who did not participate in this study, told The Scientist.
[...]
Moreover, the age of divergent regions varied from less than 84% to more than 147% of the average, a surprising range of more than 4 million years. Reich said he would expect a range of about 1 million years given what has been found in the typical ape. The researchers suggest an explanation for their findings could be that human and chimp speciation took place over a long time with episodes of hybridization between the emerging species after their initial split before they separated permanently.
Why are fundies so obsessed with bestiality?
Some questions are better left unanswered.
@anti-nonsense: "the definition of being two different species is that two populations can't intermix"
Other way around.
A common definition of a species is "all the individual organisms of a natural population that generally interbreed at maturity in the wild and whose interbreeding produces fertile offspring". N.b. all that do , not all that can .
Some interfertile groups are still classed as separate species (e.g. The British and Siberian Herring gulls - Larus argentus and Larus vegae respectively).
{See ma, my edumacation weren't wasted aft'n all!}
... but we're more evolved, eh?
No, all living things are equally evolved.
if we really evolved from apes, then we would basically be the same species as apes
No. If animals of the same species live apart from each other long enough without interbreeding, mutations make their descendents' DNA drift further and further apart until it can no longer combine. Then they are considered different species.
why can't people empregnate (sic) monkeys?
Monkeys and humans have been evolving separately for too long. At one time they had a common ancestor. But now their descendents' DNA molecules have drifted so far apart over millions of years of accumulated mutations that the male and female DNA can no longer "stick" to each other to form a double-helix.
Learn evolution first. Then criticize it.
"If we really evolved from apes, then we would bascally be the same species as apes..."
No, we're a different species, hence the whole evolution bit.

What the fuck?
How is evolution "anti christian"?
How is it a "fairy tale"?
And since when has it had any more importance to atheists than to say Hindus? or Bhuddists?
No, Our being descended from apes makes us NOT IN ANY WAY the same species as any other species of ape.
What do monkeys have to do with any of this?
Nobody wants you to believe any fairy tale of evolution.
But you might consider learning a bit about the biological process of evolution.
This is why we have to keep fundies out of science, their experiments seem to mostly involve fucking animals.
"It's year four of my conclusive experiments at the San Deigo Zoo Christian Research Centre. Although my wife has had three children in this time not one of the 1000 attempts to impregnant these animals has suceeded.
One would think this and my collegues similiar experiments in various Zoos, Farmyards and Veternarian clinics are absolute proof that Evolution is wrong, However: We maintain we must continue this exhaustive work until no doubt exists"
why can't people empregnate monkeys?
It was only made illegal after you were born.
I'm sorry that was very rude, my sincere apologies to the monkeys.
"Because we did NOT evolve from apes"
You're right! We didn't evolve FROM APES! Humans and the great apes share a COMMON ANCESTOR.
Do you have any freakin' clue what that means?
Apparently not.

And you would prefer to be made from DIRT? Like dirt that animals crapped in?
Monkeys=/=apes, stupid.
Humans did not evolve FROM apes, we ARE great apes, stupid.
Black, chinese and arabs are all the same species; homo sapiens sapiens. That's why they can all IM-pregnate each other.
Poodles and border colles are also the same species, and so are wolves. Wolves and dogs can still IM-pregnate each other, but soon (in ten thousand years or so) they won't be able any more.
Humans and the other great apes are different species and can't IM-pregnate each other any longer. That is basically what speciation is; not being able to produce viable and fertile offspring.
Evolution is neither atheistic nor anti-Christian, stupid, it's a vital part of the scientific field of Biology.
Confused?
