If you are listing some of the Hindu Gods, you should also know that Hinduism has roots an ancient Judaism, so despite their complete difference in viewing God (Where the one God has millions of 'faces' and avatars) Hinduism still has its basis in Judaism and the old Testament times.

I'm pretty certain Judaism can be definitively traced only to 1200 BC and the disappearance of pig bones from Canaanite trash piles. On the other hand Hinduism seems to have its roots in the Proto-Indo-European pantheon, which can't be definitively dated but definitely goes back way before any of the early Levantine faiths existed, and was at least contemporary with the Sumerian pantheon.
Ignoring the fact that one Hindu Avatar -Khrisna- shares almost the same story as Jesus, just pre-dating it by a couple of hundred years...Ummm, Hinduism and the Abrahamic faiths have almost NO similarities...none at all. And Hinduism is at least as old as Caanite and Sumerian Pantheons which Judaism borrowed heavily from. So, fail...I'm afraid.
Um, Hinduism: 5000 year old religion, started in the Indus Valley region of Northern India; Judaism: 1200 to 1500 year old religion coming from Hyksos traders and slaves in Egypt. Yes, they are very similar... Idiot.
"one Hindu Avatar -Khrisna- shares almost the same story as Jesus"
And Jesus shares the almost exact same story as Mithra, a Persian god, so it's likely that they all share a common ancestor, as Persia was right between the Judea and India.

Tell me, how did worshiping one God turn into 4 million gods.

Eh, Hindus don't believe in multiple gods, they believe in one all-powerful God with many manifestations; and the many entities they worship are metaphors for the different forces of God.
Very few people realize that Hinduism is Monotheistic, just like the trinity in Christianity.
Also it was the other way around, Later religions like Judaism borrow from Hinduism not Vice versa
Hinduism still has its basis in Judaism and the old Testament times.
Hmmm, stupid, crazy, or both? Tricky one, this.
They're always doing this, Fundies are, all trying to claim the oldest and first position. The Baptists love to claim they've existed since John the Baptist, it's bullshit of course but unsubstantiated nonsense is Christianities main product.
These people will tell you Adam and Moses were Christians, time-frames mean nothing to them, historians don't either.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
