...so Conservative Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson uses a bike - instead of a ministerial car which he's entitled to - for a reason other than it's a quicker method of getting around London: one of the most congested cities in the world?!

A previous senior political position he held was Mayor of London. Thus the power he wielded re. the central governing body Transport for London.

Even though Sadiq Khan is Mayor of London nowadays, there's a very good reason why these are still referred to as 'Boris Bikes'.

To my knowledge, Boris isn't Jewish. I refer you to the current Mayor of London, Farthole.

London has the highest percentage of UK residents/commuters who use bicycles on a regular basis: 22%. I have a bike (four, actually). I live in Hull: 17.5%.

Bike shops always have increased sales during the Tour De France.

National Express plc say that bikes are allowed in their coaches' luggage bays, if they're folding ones such as Bromptons, and are in a carry case; most airlines allow such in the cargo bays in their planes. Most rail companies have spaces for bikes on their trains: some with special compartments for Bromptons.

Unless you're a herd of cattle (in which case, good job managing to post on Godlike Productions, I'm sure you'll fit right in - everything else there is a load of bull anyway), nobody is trying to tax your farts. For one thing, it would cost them more to levy that "tax" than they would ever get out of it, and for another, how would they gather data on enforcement? Follow people around and record their farts?

Think for a second before you post drivel like this, seriously.

@Moose: Well, that's London. If he used a car he'd still be in traffic. Also we both know he'll do anything that will result in publicity photos, so I don't know if he's the one you want to be your poster boy.
