['In the Christian worldview when you die you step from this world into another and that other life is according to the Bible so much better than the one we are in now. Those children will never know disease, will never know pain, will never shed a tear.' Someone else replies, 'Then shouldn't all children be killed?']
To be truly kind to them, yes. However, we're not brave enough or thoughtful enough to do that. All we're concerned about is our own selfish feelings.

Redhunter, this verse almost instantly created a tune in my head. Nice song!
And for the post, I think rosenherman might be right about christianity. Only downside is, someone got to sacrifice himself and go and kill all the babys. Clearly this person won't go to heaven. I guess this is where the "selfish" comes into play.
Well, of course no one is brave enough to do it because that would guarantee his or her place in hell for all eternity - and that would be a much greater sacrifice than Jesus's since God Jr. was only dead for less than three days and then went up to spend eternity at the right hand of god's throne in heaven. (Some "sacrifice," eh?)
Please don't allow this person anywhere near children. Kill the children for their own good?
It's too early in the morning for me to be this disgusted. Now I have to go the rest of the day thinking that, somewhere out there, rosenherman is living somewhere near children.
Which selfish feelings?, to feed an army of slaves or what?, because, you know, all those kids are expensive, irksome, too many..........oh yes, there is something called love.
The brave and thoughtful Xian act is to kill all the children? Wow! And, yet, s/he probably thinks she is pro-life, too.
But only after they've been born, right? You fuckers will fight like hell, and are willing to strip away every right that women have to stop abortions, but after someone is born you don't give a shit, do you?
I wish I could say this was the first time I've heard this argument... but it isn't. Most Christians splutter and come up with some nonsense to explain away the logical conclusion of their beliefs (sending innocents straight to heaven by eliminating that pesky life bit in the middle would solve all the evangelism problems!), though. They don't normally agree that it would be 'thoughtful' and 'brave'.
Ugh.
This is what I've been saying all along. If Christians REALLY want to make sure souls are saved, they should kill all the believers before they have chance to waiver in their faith.
Unfortunately, they won't actually be able to kill themselves, because suicide automatically revokes their get-out-of-Hell-free card. So they'll ultimately need to find unconvertable non-believers to kill those fewl Christians still remaining after they've killed each other.
Since Christians have already declared that Dr. Kevorkian is irrevocably going to Hell, perhaps he could do the honors.
SERIAL KILLER ALERT!
This person should be required to be registered - just like sex offenders - wherever he goes, so that he can be prevented from living near schools & daycares. Or civilised people, for that matter.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
