NAMBLA(get your names right)was never defended. They defended, the closest I remember ONE of its members because the state didn't guarantee him his constitutional rights. They never endorsed his ideology. And talking about terrorism.............do you have any fucking idea what terrorism means, for that matter?. I don't see them blowing themselves up or financing such guys.

The ACLU is just an organization of lawyers who bring cases to court. The court makes the decisions, not the ACLU, based on the laws on the books. If anyone disagrees with the decisions, their argument is with Congress or the Constitution, not the ACLU. They're just the messenger, not the message.
A terrorist organisation uses violence or the threat of violence to make a change. ACLU has yet to do that compared to say...The Taliban (use it to maintain control), al Qaeda (use it to change America and Middle East), Army of God (use it to reChristianise America, and in the name of pro life and anti gay). And nobody defended MABLA. Nor Nambla. Check your facts next time and learn ye some definitions
The ACLU has also defended the Westboro Baptist Church (of Fred Phelps and "God Hates Fags" infamy).

And the ACLU really did defend NAMBLA once. It's in their FAQ . Someone was trying to blame NAMBLA for a murder because the killer read their website. But if anything, the ACLU is overcautious about defending pedophiles, who are after all probably the most hated minority in the world. You can imagine people sometimes forget legal niceties like constitutional rights when dealing with them.
