The Judeo-Christian ethic, among other things, teaches and encourages self control and discipline. ESPECIALLY sexual self control and discipline.
Homosexualiy is not about sexual self control. It could not be more opposite. It is about accepting and CELEBRATING lack of sexual self discipline.
How is that possibly compatible with Christianity?

Typical fundie: sex is evil and should only be used for procreation; since gays can't procreate without help, they must be particularly evil. Of course, adding in the canard that gays can't have no self-control.
However, since the OP name consists of one of Jesus' judges and the first murderer, it's likely a Poe.
That's not how this works at all. "Sexual self control and discipline"? Really? How about all the passages in The Old Testament about raping captured sex slaves? You won't find any "self-control" in there, at least not any as defined by sane human beings. Is homosexuality really worse than that according to you?
Reads OP's name.
Oh, so this is what (NSFW link) he's been doing these days. Trolling like a 10-year-old boy.
Funny thing is, plenty of gay men have no trouble exercising sexual self control and self discipline around me. Not so much around each other, of course, but that's their prerogative.
Now, how about you churchy types with your Judeo-Christian ethic? Let's see you exercise some sexual self control and discipline around the children.
What about the Christian-Muslim ethic? Why Judeo? Is it because you WANT the Old Testament dogma, which Jesus supposedly did away with, with his great sacrifice?
Heterosexuality is not about sexual self control either. It's also about accepting and CELEBRATING lack of sexual self discipline.
How is there any difference?
How is Trumpcare (or even Obamacare) possibly compatible with Christianity?
How is "prosperity gospel" possibly compatible with Christianity?
Nice last name, btw, Ci-Ci. How's Abel these days?
How is that possibly compatible with Christianity?
Sayeth someone with as a screename, a character from a scenario where one must worship the God-Emperor of Man, or you'll get a visit from one of the Ordo Malleus.
Has your 'Emprah' repented of his sins...?!
"Homosexualiy is not about sexual self control. It could not be more opposite."
Except when it was illegal to be gay.
All those guys that came out in the 70s, they'd had enough self control to marry a woman and father several kids. Guys in the military who were not obviously gay. Until society changed enough that they felt free to come out...
But the period does show they're capable of self control.
These guys wonder why their pews are emptying and everyone hates them.
They don't preach Self-Control....They preach REPRESSION....but they refuse to see the difference.
Frankly; I think the reason's for a scripture's teaching on things need to be weighed against the context THEN and the way things are NOW....In other words, a scripture or teaching can become obsolete if there's no need for it.
The "sex-negative/sex in marriage only" was written in a time when contraception was crude and often ineffective (as was abortion), paternity was hard to prove, STIs were all incurable and super-established families were vital to society's survival (no gender-egalitarian unwed polyandrous stuff and polygamy was one-sided marriage....polygyny....for rich guys).
But now; We can determine Paternity with blood tests and DNA, many STIs are either annoying & non-fatal or completely curable, we have a number of effective forms of contraception and sterilization procedures, condoms are better-made and have been shown to help curb STIs, society can do fine without marriage or monogamy and abortions can be perfectly safe and routine medical procedures.
Thus; Many of the heavy prohibitions against heavy sexual conduct in our world's scriptures can be rendered moot.

@Churchy LaFemme
I feel the same. I wonder about this guy's real reason for posting this.
Considering that Ciaphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM, is a self-admitted coward, schemer, and only pays lip service to the worship of the God-Emperor, it seems that this poster is either a Poe or really clueless about the books.
Confused?
