I'm am so SICK and TIRED of being told by the GOP and the 'conservative talking heads' that I'm stupid, emotional, 'baffled', not thinking straight, having a 'tantrum', am racist, or some other ((insert insult here)) for choosing to support Trump as my candidate!

The people who I have voted for, the people who *I* helped put in office, now dare to insult my choice today?!

They didn't seem to have one problem with my ability to rationalize when I was sending them money and pulling the lever for *them*. Why is my judgement now questionable?

The talking heads who I once respected have NO respect for conservatives now. I cannot turn on the news without hearing about how simple and emotional Trump supporters are.

How insulting. How condescending. How rude.

It's taken all summer, but now the b@$tard$ have finally GOT an emotional reaction out of me.

Remember that "Tea Party" thing that caused such a fuss awhile back...?

Yeah. We're still here. And our memories are long.

the first part actually has a fair point, and points to something both of the major U.S. parties do; deride people who "ought to" vote for them, for daring to vote for any other party.

no party is OWED anybody's vote. if a voter is progressive enough to think the Democrats are too far right for them, and chooses to vote (e.g.) Green Party instead, calling them names achieves nothing; just because the Democrats might be a lesser evil than the Republicans does not obligate anybody to vote for evil if they'd rather vote for good and such an option is available. and of course the same thing goes in the other direction, as with this tea partier and the Republicans.

or, to paraphrase the late great Douglas Adams; just because not voting for your lizard might cause the wrong lizard to win, doesn't mean anybody is obligated to vote for a damn lizard.

You support Trump because you're a whiner. A whiner is a person who has a long list of gripes about what's wrong with America and the world, but no idea why or any practical idea about what to do about it. Whiners aren't interested in actual ideas or practical solutions, because, to be honest, nothing is ever going to remake the world of the 21st century the way the whiners want it to be. They like Trump because he whines along with them. He echos what they think is wrong with America without actually presenting any practical changes.

The GOP began flirting with religious lunatics and reactionary moron mouthbreathers who feared and hated every last progressive change and social advance made in the twentieth century decades ago, in order to get their vote. Not unexpectedly, the morons and lunatics then demanded a place at the table.

This is the end result.

Trump's stated positions are just standard modern GOP boilerplate, spoken plain and laid bare for all the world to see, and what few rational conservative voices are left have been drowned out by the mouthbreathers and crazies, and together they're all frantically racing for the bottom. And it's way too fucking late to disown them, because now they ARE the party. Ladles and Jellyspoons, mares and gentlecolts, I give you today's G. O. P.

As he's funding his own campaign, thus not subject to funding by the party, the Repubicans can't control him, thus they won't nominate him as their candidate, so Donald Fart will have to run as an independent. Which will split the already thinly-spread anti-Democrat voter base.

So many candidates the Repubicans have. Only two for the Democrats. The demographic shifts in 2012; the traditionalist Latino vote going the Democrats way.

Offended by the GOP? Your schism is showing, dearie.

Exactly, and that was the values she was for when she pulled the lever for Palin and cheered on Santorum, Cruz, Ryan, and other dimwits who pandered to her selfish entitled brand of Conservatism.

Donald is DEFINITELY sucking up to the racist retired coasters that all the other scared with "taking your pension and Medicare" stories when they were the one's with actual policies for that.

Palin used to command over 30% approval in Tea Party polls, she was as low as 5% last I saw over a year ago. I've had a theory that they're not stupid just really slow to catch on.
In four years, regardless of what happens, you'll regret your support for Trump as you have for all the idiots before.

Stop voting, you're hurting the country.
