[OP of "So, Jews...they make me uncomfortable. You?"]
I've been coming into this world of ideas of white rights and the alt right and so forth slowly.
Slowly because I know in each of us there's a heavy pendulum that swings wide from one side to another. I've worked as best I can to slow that swing. I have found this sub to be a refreshing 'positive facts' outlet vs what I would expect it to be: just a place for racists to rant and blame be purely negative.
I've always had a jew friendly attitude. I often joke that it's pointless to be anti-semitic because we should always aspire to be the best in what we do. Who can out do Hitler in anti-semitism?
Recently I've heard some interesting things about Jews and I'm uncomfortable. The root of the discomfort is I don't want to attribute to every jew what some have done. Also I'm very slowly and skeptically allowing myself to feel the fascination of the possibility the holocaust wasn't what I was taught in school. And further the (currently to me as per everything I know about WW2) ridiculous notion that Hitler wasn't such a bad guy.
Anyway how do you balance criticism of behavior that seems historically linked to a certain group of people with feelings about everyday members of that group? To look at all Jews negatively seems, to quote Ben Affleck "Just gross".
