It comes down to this: Either nothing made everything or Something made everything. The Truth is self evident. If you completely buy into the misguided notion that nothing made everything, you're ultimately buying into the religion of atheism/secular humanism.
Under atheism, we are nothing more than a "soul-less glorified monkey coming from primordial slime..." Under secular humanism our only purpose of existence if vain hedonistic pleasure and self indulgence. No other higher purpose, other than what a common animal would consider a purpose... We are just another animal crushing any one and any thing to become the "fittest species..."
Someone who sees their self like this has no problem putting on the identity of, "Natural Selection" and shooting down all the "weaker species..."
What we are seeing today is a new wave of "Atheistic Terrorism" It started on the baseball field in Alexandria and it has evolved further in Vegas...

Considering the number of televangelists wearing Rolex watches, designer suits and flying in their private planes, they must be secular humanists engaging in "vain hedonistic pleasure and self indulgence." What "higher purposes" do you engage in to justify your higher-than-animal purpose? Have you given your possessions to the poor? Do you work at a homeless shelter? How many unwanted children have you adopted?
Humpty SeveNation: "Under atheism, we are nothing more than a "soul-less glorified monkey coming from primordial slime...""
Secular Alice: "I don't think that's what atheism says!"
Humpty SeveNation (in rather a scornful tone): "When I talk about any attitude or belief other than my own, it says just what I choose it to say neither more nor less!"
"Under secular humanism our only purpose of existence if vain hedonistic pleasure and self indulgence. "
Don't try to make me live your fantasy life, SeveNation. I have purpose. I just don't pretend that my invisible friend sponsors it.
Either nothing made everything or Something made everything.
Either way it doesn't prove that biblical creationism is true.
The Truth is self evident.
The truth being that there is no magical sky fairy controlling every single atom in the universe.
Under secular humanism our only purpose of existence if vain hedonistic pleasure and self indulgence.
That's not what secular humanism is about at all. First of all, it's hard to be humanist (caring about other people) if you're vain. You only claim it's about hedonistic pleasure and self indulgence because humanists have no strict rules against sex.

On the contrary, as humanists we must preserve the planet for future generations, and part of that means not making species go extinct, unlike Christians who think it's OK to trash the planet because Jesus is going to take us to Heaven soon.

You're a fucking idiot.
The concept of a god is a fantasy you tell yourself every night, as you suck your thumb and rock yourself to sleep - because you are afraid of death. You're so gung-ho on "self-evident" that you forgot to consider the "evident" ...that your god can neither be seen or heard, and there is absolutely no evidence that he takes any action regarding humanity. All the "answered prayers" fall within the laws of chance. There is not even a statistical anomaly that might be called "god".
It comes down to this: Either nothing made everything or Something made everything
...or to quote Capt. Jean-Luc Picard, 'There are always other options'.
Some ones created everything. Those ones being the Golden Tribe, and they created everything ...:

...including your 'God'.
You realise the worse than terroristic ramifications this has on your entire belie fs, OP. [/'Teach the Controversy']
Why are all these Fundies always using that old bullshit of "Something can't come from nothing"? Besides the fact that this is exactly how they believe their god made the universe, we've actually seen this happen. When studying subatomic particles, physicists sometimes notice small particles suddenly popping into and out of existence, all on their own. So in other words, yes, matter can come from nothing. Ain't quantum physics great?

I love it. Every time they double-slap themselves in the face by trying and failing to discredit atheism by classifying it as being a religion like themselves , I get a little tingle in my no-no bits~.
Under atheism, we are nothing more than a "soul-less glorified monkey coming from primordial slime..."
Exactly who are you quoting?
Under secular humanism our only purpose of existence if vain hedonistic pleasure and self indulgence.
A Google search for "humanist values" would show you that's wrong. You don't even have to open any of the results; just read the excerpts from the results page!

Oh, fuck you. Your history & mythology, alike, are nothing but one ongoing chronicle of bloodshed & oppression of those weaker than yourselves.
What we are seeing today is a new wave of "Atheistic Terrorism" It started on the baseball field in Alexandria and it has evolved further in Vegas...
You say with no evidence whatsoever.
The only thing that surprised me about that is that he claims "Atheist Terrorism" started with that recent event. Most Evangelists and TV preachers blame Atheists for any mass shooting for well over two decades now.
Y'know what it might actually be, a well collaborated trend in American culture for over 40 years: A desire to just kill a lot of people to get famous. We've seen it many times and we've seen them pretend that Christians and conservatives would never do something like this but the facts are they often do so and more than any other group dynamic.
This Vegas thing ,,facts aren't all in, motives not clear, and the usual liars are building fear on it.
It would be irresponsible not to speculate he was a FoxNews Christian Trump supporter just wanting to get his day of fucking up peoples lives in too.
What made the Something?
Biology doesn't say anything about "nothing more than", "common" or "just another".
We are not monkeys, we are great apes. Monkeys have tails, we don't, just the tail bone. If we're NOT "glorified monkeys", what purpose does the tail bone have, besides being needlessly sensitive? Why do we have C-vitamin-creating genes, that are turned off? What purpose does that serve?
Why do you need a higher purpose than to live? What purpose has a tape-worm or an eye-gouging parasite, according to Christianity?
Fittest means the most adaptable. Shooting down weaker species would be genocide or specie-cide, not NATURAL selection, nitwit.
What we are seeing TODAY? The ToE is 150 years old, and the idea wasn't completely new then, either.
Confused?
