Well, after the person in the lab coat has formed a hypothesis, then a theory, studied and gets proven results, yes, he/she is a credible source.
You can't murder something if it's not a person. Embryos/blasotcysts/fetuses aren't people. You don't like abortion, don't have one, but stay the hell out of the way of women who do.

Uh, no. A research grant, a lab coat, and a theory produced by extensive, repeatable experimentation, and yes, they are credible.
I know a few doctors and chemists who wear lab coats, but a lot of researchers work in the field or in a library and there is no need for a lab coat. In fact, a very credible source for information on the Earth's history are the people at Earth Sciences department at my university, and most of them wear plaid work shirts. The people who put on lab coats and think it gives them scientific credibility are the creationist "scientists."
Now that's not true...the Rapturists are free to roam, and say how the world is coming to an imminent end all they please.
And as for the last one, bear in mind that an embryo meets every criteria to be labeled a parasite...
Generally, those receiving research grants have PhDs to go along with their lab coats and they don't stand on the street screaming about their research results. This is one of the many ways one can differentiate them from Christian street preachers.

I think "roly polies" are pill-bugs, small land-dwelling crustaceans more closely related to lobsters than insects. The odd thing is that the scientists he's griping about are providing evidence against human-induced global warming (very few argue about global warming itself - only about whether humans are causing it). They're suggesting a non-human source of carbon dioxide.

That's because if you scream in the street enough people think you're crazy no matter what the veracity of your claims. Just rattle off any number of perfectly true facts to random passers by in a loud and crazy enough voice and the police will drag you away.
