@Hasan Prishtina
Hasan, enough, I`m a pole, not some american without knowledge and understanding of the culture. You don`t get to spout your outrage at me. I have empathy for your pain, have empathy for mine. I have to run now from my own place, leaving my own home behind, at least you get to live in that house of yours and actually get to visit the graves, I will not have such luxury.
Indeed, I am sorry if my slav comment rubbed you the wrong way, guess I`m like the sterotypical black woman making "nigga jokes", just know that if you believed I demeaned you, I also did that to myself. :)
So yeah, I dare because I`m polish and you know yourself what was done to us, very comparable to your tragedy, the idea that the only thing poles are good for is a fucking firewood. Does bring some memories, does it not? Perhaps it is just mine fault for not being able to discuss some things with the right amount of decorum, it is an issue of mine, believe it or not, I can never say the right thing socially.
ps. If you truly believe I can have no opinion of these things yet, educate me. I`m not saying this sarcastically, I am a historian with a degree after all, if my knowledge of the subject is so bad, then it needs to be addresed. Oh and just so we`re clear on the subject, I won`t be comparing Trump with Milosevic or Hitler(he`s more of the dulce type anyway). This is a diffrence I really understand but in my country, it`s already over, Poland is no US and my people sadly think it`s only right that they "get to be germans" this time.
@Uilleam
For a chance? Dude, I have a permannetly broken nose and a collection of scars from street fighting, at least aknowledge some level of veterancy here :P
I`m not an antifa member by the way, though I do have friends in the movement. Also, this really did escalate a bit too easily. Are we really that trigger happy to bite each other simply because some of us are dedicated pacifists and some believe that in extreme situations violence can and should be used to defend yourself? We don`t need to agree on everything but points should at least be considered and talked about in civilised manner and not be dismissed `90 style. For better or worse I understand that violence in one form or another is simply part of our species, trying to deny it will not work, the desire exists and it needs to be funneled and directed(by way of games, friendly competitions and such) so that it doesn`t turn to actual harm.
