If you are not a Christian and do not convert in the future, then God does NOT love you. God does NOT forgive you or pardon you. This is an important reality for non-Christians to come to grips with. So please, respond to the message of the Bible and convert.

"If you are not a Pastafarian and do not convert in the future, then the Flying Spaghetti Monster does NOT love you. The FSM does NOT forgive you or pardon you. This is an important reality for non-Pastafarians to come to grips with. So please, respond to the message of the Gospel of the FSM and convert."
Makes just as much sense.
If you are not a Muslim and do not convert in the future, then Allah does NOT love you. Allah does NOT forgive you or pardon you. This is an important reality for non-Muslims to come to grips with. So please, respond to the message of the Qur'an and convert.
If you are not a Mormon and ... next verse, same as the first.
cheapthrills: I'm trying to convert! Water into beer!
I manage that in the opposite direction on a regular basis. Do I get a cookie?
I'm pretty sure this flies in the face of Scripture. This would be akin to saying "parents only give a fuck about their kids when they're obedient."
Actually, Rahab, your analogy is kind of consistent morally with scripture - the bible explicitly says disobedient kids should be killed. If god commands his people to do that, why shouldn't he act in a similar way towards his creation?
By any working definition, god qualifies as a psychopath, a sociopath and obsessive-compulsive, and is afflicted by extreme borderline personality disorder.
Answer me this, then. Is belief out of fear true belief? Is belief for a reward belief? If we say we're Christians, but only to get into heaven, are we not bearing false witness to our creator? Are we not sinning any way we go at it? How do you reconcile this?
All those in favor of forgiving g0d...?
No one?
All right, on to the next issue...converting malt to ethanol.
PRAISE YEAST! I will drink Your Excretion.
"If you are not a Christian and do not convert in the future, then God does NOT love you. God does NOT forgive you or pardon you."
There's only really one way to answer this post. That way is "Go fuck yourself!"
"So please, respond to the message of the Bible and convert."
Okay. My message to you about the Bible? It's a load of bollocks.
And when I've finished downloading the latest episode (9) of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya II", I'll be converting it to .MPEG for burning to DVD for watching on my TV & DVD player.
Haruhi is the real God.
According to the New Testament, God stopped being a dick, and (via his son Jesus - i.e. him in human form) promoted the idea of love, peace and tolerance. And via his self-sacrifice, the debt of human sin past, present & future has been paid in full. Regardless of if they 'believe' or not. That's how professors of theology define the message in said NT.
...or is it different in the edition(s) of the Bible in Fundie Bizarro World? What colour is the sky in your dimension?
@Anon-e-moose
"[V]ia [Jesus'] self-sacrifice, the debt of human sin past, present & future has been paid in full."
Y'know, that's what I've pondered about at times. It's like "wait, why do you need to believe in Jesus anyway if he already paid for your sins?". Would like to hear what the fundies say about that, though...
“If you are not a Christian”
Not any more, no.
“and do not convert in the future,”
It seems unlikely.
“then God does NOT love you.”
SO, God’s love is conditional.
Of the three people I created, and the one granddaughter I have so far, I can’t imagine any of them having an opinion to make me not love them anymore. Maybe dislike, but not unlove.
“God does NOT forgive you or pardon you.”
Well, I don’t believe in the god you describe, or any other gods, so who gives a shit?
“This is an important reality for non-Christians to come to grips with.”
Um, no. It really is not. God isn’t a reality, not to me, so neither is this threat.
“So please, respond to the message of the Bible and convert.”
But I still have questions based on the Bible’s message of a perfect being using suffering to reach his goals. That makes no sense.
Confused?
