Psychiatry is just another competing religion.
America needs to pray for a good old fashion revival.
When you are born again the desires of your heart change and your brain chemicals right themselves.

Your post would suggest otherwise.
Tell that to someone with epilepsy, a malignant brain tumor, or Parkinson's Disease, donna.
Oh, silly me. I forgot: they're "demons". image
"Psychiatry is just another competing religion."
That's also what the Scientologists believe.
And even if your brain chemicals could magically "right themselves," that doesn't mean that they couldn't "un-right" themselves back. Maybe God should have thought of that before he finished creating humans. And if all it took was just being born-again, I would never have had to try and pray my mental illnes away or, failing that, get medication and start to question the idea of a God and come up with comments like that in the first place.

Ohhhh ... that explains my epilepsy! I'm demonically possessed! I'm sure that the convulsions will just be looked at as G*d entering my body.
"Hail Thetan!"
All Hail Xenu (and Tom Cruise)!!
It will also clear up your skin, remove unsightly wrinkles, improve your posture and fix your teeth. Destroy the mould on your bathroom tiles, put a tiger in your tank and ignore your credit history. Advance you up the Nielsen ratings, score the winning touchdown, get the girl and sell you a bridge.
Anyone who does not recieve each and everyone of these magnificent benefits is doing it wrong.

I see a therapist every couple of weeks donna dear, he's an awesome guy and a very competent mental professional health professional. He's also a minister with considerable experience (I think Methodist.)
While he's a Licensed Professional Counselor, and not a psychiatrist, he's living proof that your point is bullshit.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
